Entercom to Purchase 103.9 WPHI- Simulcast KYW

Kudos to Urban One for keeping the local personalities employed and shuffling the syndicated talent onto the HD2
 
So this week's transition period has been relatively sloppy on U1's part. The simulcasting began on Monday, but as of today, both the 100.3RnB and Hip Hop 1039 websites are still up with the former logos and no real notice that the 103.9 format is shifting onto 100.3. Today a banner was finally added to the old 1039 website announcing "all promotions on WPHI will be concluded on or before November 22nd" with the new 100.3 logo, and no other details. The WPHI social media accounts have overtaken the WRNB accounts without fanfare. The former 100.3 format was announced to be shifting onto their HD-2, but that has just been repeating the same generic filler song since Monday. I know there have been on-air announcements since Monday, but you think they could have at least killed the 103.9 website and changed over the 100.3 website, which would have us believe that DL Hughley is currently airing on 100.3.
 
Are they flipping at midnight tonight? I will be up and rolling on my cassette recorder to capture the historic moment!
 
I believe so. I was listening just before the top of the 9pm hour and heard something along the lines of “three hours until KYW on FM”
 
Well, I hate that I missed the flip on 103.9 by three minutes because I was asleep, but I still took a 45min aircheck on cassette which I will upload to my archive page later this week.

Also, I love that 103.9 turned off their HD, went mono, and all of a sudden WPHI gets out really well. Sounds good!
