ESPN BLAMED AGAIN FOR HIGH CABLE/SATELLITE FEES

ESPN's new president John Skipper says that TV viewers would "receive less value" if ala carte channel selections were offered by cable companies. I'm guessing this statement aired on Darren Rovell's Versus program earlier this evening, but I don't get Versus

E$PN's policy of only allowing "friendly" ISPs (those that pay off E$PN) to access ESPN3(dot com), and their refusal to permit anyone to purchase a subscription for "ESPN3" was one of the many reasons I dropped my satillite TV subscription back in August. When the Pay TV providers start permitting ala carte subscriptions, then I might return. As a pay TV subscriber for years, I could never access "ESPN3" because my ISP was not on the cable channel's approved list of ISP's.
But now with the WatchESPN app, you don't have to worry about that :)

Cheers & 73 :)
