even harris says traditional broadcast days are numbered

Hmm, any reasonable person would have to conclude from reading your comments that your over the top anti Ibiquity comments and those of others who use similar catch phrases have problems greater then dealing with HD technology. Why not get off the computer and consider legal action if you feel you have a case. In other words, put your money where your mouths (or in this case) keyboards are. Note, this isn't pro or anti IBOC statement, it's only an observation from a relative newcomer without an axe to bear in this fight.

I'm not convinced you are a "reasonable person", "without an axe to bear in this fight." Otherwise you would not pre-judge my remarks as "over the top anti Ibiquity comments", and that somehow, I "have problems greater then dealing with HD technology." Are you claiming to have mysterious, spiritualistic, inter-dimensional, psychiatric, divination powers?
Your repeated claims to be able to diagnose strangers psychological problems at a distance and similar statements, and opinions, are totally irrational.
Thousands, including myself, have registered their opposition to HD radio, additional free spectrum for conglomerates, and more media concentration, with the FCC, and congress. That is, constitutional, legal action.
Your repetitious claims of supernatural powers, expose your bias and bring into question your "problems greater then dealing with HD technology."

interesting harris begins, to downsize. only one hundred and fifty get the the boot in "first round" of the reorg.

I guess its good to get ahead of the curve on current trends.

A wee bit touchy aren't we? C'mon you say I have an axe to grind, I have no financial or work related interest in the Ibiquity system. I have been reading this board for more than a few months and there are a few people, yourself included who not only have an axe to grind but appear to have an unhealthy fixation with the downfall of HD radio. I am not a Dr. but I am an adult with enough year on this planet to have made a fairly good observation of the few repeat posters who rather than be honest enough to say that they have interests that differ from Ibiquity corporation and which the current technology might effect. I have said that I am against the whole licensing idea. If Ibiquity wants a fee for their system they should add it into the initial purchase price. I believe at least at this time, the current low bit rate digital codec available to them is not a satisfactory replacement for current analogue transmission. I find the artifacts in the audio alone make it unacceptable. My problem with IBOC on AM is not the supposed interference factor. At least in my area there are no listenable first or second adjacent stations and it doesn't matter if the interference is 75% for analogue or 100% for digital, no one is listening to those stations. We also have those who feel that the big guys are shutting out the little guys. No on to the best of my knowledge has said that a station has to go IBOC and for many stations it won't be economically feasible. For them they can either stay analogue or go with the other AM system (Cam-D). Due to DSP as part of the IBOC radio design, interference on second adjacent's isn't a factor. Then there are those who are so angry they want to penalize the big stations and think that all that separates their stations success and the big ones is power. I know of more than one 50 KW station that isn't doing all that well financially while lower powered, better programmed stations are doing well financially. I for one am not pro IBOC or anti IBOC, but the level of anger expressed by some in here take any non anti IBOC comment as praise. That to me says an awful lot. Now maybe you understand why I made the comments I id.
