Responding to BlueHen:
I like "Emotion" by Samantha Sang.
I like some ABBA and some Olivia Newton-John (though her "Make a Move on Me", added to Timeless Favorites when the change happened, should be sealed in a lead container and buried deep where it will never be found), a lot of Anne Murray and some Gordon Lightfoot and Dan Fogelberg. I guess I can live with England Dan and John Ford Coley. I find I'm much more accepting of their style when I listen to my country legends station.
I like Barry Manilow a lot, whether he's doing his old stuff or the new versions of the classics. Though I have to admit it's his style and not his voice. But when he sings real standards, the orchestras always sound great.
