Hi everyone:
Guiding Light has WSPR, which of course stands for Springfield
As The World Turns has WOAK, which of course stands for Oakdale
I think there's a few other soaps with TV stations too.
That said though, aren't the WOAK calls assigned to a real radio and/or TV station (Something tells me they are)?? Just curious....
Cheers

It goes even further....easttxtv said:On The Edge of Night, the TV station on there was WMON, for Monticello, the town setting.
Likewise, Another World used KBAY (the show's town setting was Bay City) for a TV station.
I checked the FCC database, and neither calls are being used for a real TV station.
