They'd better be loving MD Anderson, Hermann memorial and every Hallmark store that plays them in the background...they have a lot of help in this city to garner those kind of ratings.

Nop, just a small fluxuation...Part of KRBE's continued success is their playing increased hip hop...why I still believe they are one the best CHR's in the country is their ability to balance pop, pop/rock, dance, R&B and rap...
Only Z100 in NY comes close. You'll never realize what we have in Houston in KRBE until you go to other cities and hear the crap for Top 40 stations they have, with nothing but the same hip-hop/rap and caffienated airchecks.
KRBE plays it all and they have live and local talent. What a jewel.

On what basis? The Country Music Awards cracked the top 20 in Nielsen's TV ratings, something Rockstar: INXS and the American Music Awards could not do. Carrie Underwood won American Idol as a country singer and has already sold over 2 million records.
Personally, most country disgusts me (especially Toby Keith), but I know that I have to hear a lot of country because it is a very popular genre.
KASE has been the number one station in Austin countless times over the years...this in a city that's supposed to be "weird" and like strange alternative and rap music...not the case
> #8 KTBZ down over a half and a bit more than their usual

Agreed...KTBZ still missing a few artists...but going mostly 90's and recurrents during the day has been a winner for them...they still need to play GNR and more Tool and Rage, but they're not going to listen to anyone as long as they're equaling or topping the previous month's revenue.
> #9 KPTY Just over a three for the last three books, but the

I still think Mega was a bright investment for CC even with its ratings and revenue plummet. The station was prescribed to cater an underserved part of the Hispanic population and was only one of a few that exist here in the US. It was a fresh sounding station in the Houston market (even if reggaeton has really been around 15 years). I've liked the presentation of the station as well.
Unfortunately, I never figured reggaeton to be a music style that could hold a format and it is apparently not--cutting parts of the Hispanic market in two like a steak knife.
There have been

Thanks Mike for your always exceptional comments. The few comments I made is all I could muster and maybe I can add a little more later.
