FALL Ratings

Is it my imagination, or did the FM simulcast of WBEN get a zero for the second straight book? Is the FM share already factored in to the 8.8 credited to WBEN-AM?

If WBEN's Buffalo numbers are essentially the same now as they were a year ago before the simulcast, which they are, did it really accomplish anything WBEN couldn't have continued to do on 930 AM alone?

Well, maybe one thing...the 107.7 simulcast comes in clearly in the western half of the Rochester market, and WBEN pulled a 0.9 in the Rochester fall book--better than it has in that market in a long time. That just happens to be almost identical to the amount of loss in share that WHAM suffered over the last 12 months in the Rochester book--coincidence?

Bob, I think WHAM noticed what you noticed and have attempted to make the programing corrections. They have given Lonsbery another hour and Rush two hours live. I will be waiting to see what happens in the next book to see if getting rid of Savage in the evenings comes back to haunt them. Like to see if WYSL is the recipient of a ratings bump since they picked up Savage.
