If WBEN's Buffalo numbers are essentially the same now as they were a year ago before the simulcast, which they are, did it really accomplish anything WBEN couldn't have continued to do on 930 AM alone?
Well, maybe one thing...the 107.7 simulcast comes in clearly in the western half of the Rochester market, and WBEN pulled a 0.9 in the Rochester fall book--better than it has in that market in a long time. That just happens to be almost identical to the amount of loss in share that WHAM suffered over the last 12 months in the Rochester book--coincidence?
