But she's been in and out of the business (sometimes for serious health concerns) with some frequency. If I'm CBS, I'd be wary of going national with someone who is going to be perceived as an ESPN reject and someone who is pushing 60. For the type of exposure they'll be offering, they can do better. Create your own star instead of hiring another company's name from 15 years ago.

Not sure about that. She has a lot of history in Tampa locally that goes beyond her national adventures. But she's been in and out of the business (sometimes for serious health concerns) with some frequency. If I'm CBS, I'd be wary of going national with someone who is going to be perceived as an ESPN reject and someone who is pushing 60. For the type of exposure they'll be offering, they can do better.
