Fantastic word game

Banquet frozen dinners were never as good as Swanson's dinners in the old days, but now days with many more selections I think Stouffer's and Boston Market has the best TV dinners.

Pot Pies a la mode is a poor choice for dessert, unless you like ice cream with hot chicken gravy.

Also not to be confused with the aforementioned Popeye, who is still busy changing that damn tire.

Hot chicken gravy never caught on in 1962 because most teenagers were fully aware that the dance was created solely as a crass attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the "mashed potatoes" dance.

And that is not so far-fetched. Dee Dee Sharp followed her hit song Mashed Potato Time with Gravy (For My Mashed Potatoes). Surprisingly, both songs were top-ten hits!

Dance the night away every Saturday night (including last night) with Kenny and WMC who held a special 80s Rockfest at band camp to rock with the kids.

We'll be back at Illusions next weekend.

When you were a child, you walked like a child and you talked like a child and you acted like a child, but now, Adam Sandler, you're almost 49 years old and it's time you grow up!

Is anyone planning to see Sandler's new movie Pixels? Aliens attack the earth with warriors fashioned after 1980s video-game characters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CYMC5b8KLE

"Grow up," they told Adam Sandler; but he thought they said "throw up," so he barfed on the floor.

If he teamed up with Neil Young, they could be another Sandler and Young...

The floor at Illusions was replaced over the weekend since the 80s Rockfest was live and local at band camp.

It was the original floor and it was pretty much unusable and thrown away. Oddly enough, the construction guys found a few blank TPS Reports under there. I was beginning to think they'd also find quadraphonic under there too but, no, quad is safe and sound at the southern branch of the PowerWorld Retirement Home.

Live and local at band camp keeps it clean and wholesome, unlike some of the former shenanigans at Illusions.

Some of the former shenanigans at Illusions were usually followed by a topless drive on warm summer nights grooving to the sounds of Olivia Newton-John on an 8-Track tape.

The sounds of Olivia Newton-John on an 8-track tape were drowned out by the sounds of a train speeding along an 8-track railroad route but while we waited at the railroad crossing we passed the time by taking a vote on who had the nicest caboose, Olivia or the train.

This post has been assigned a PG-13 rating by the FWG Board of Directors.

A Monkee, otherwise known as myself, is jumping up and down in excitement at the sight of dmargalotti.

Do my eyes deceive me? Is that really you, Mr. International Director of Band Camp (IDBC as most prefer)? Could it really be? Or perhaps it's LARR/Thomps in disguise? Could the return of quadraphonic be next? Come on, guys, dmargalotti contributes twice for the first time in months and nobody says anything??

dmargalotti, what's up man? Are you back permanently? Semi-permanently? One and done? Don't leave me hanging!! Spill it! But, please, make sure you review the last however-long-you've-been-gone number of pages and catch up with life here at TFWG (TFWG as you know I prefer). :D :D :D

Indeed it is I, your long lost Band Camp Director and it's good to see you again.

So last November 14th, I was on a trip to Western Europe to scout out the location for a new band camp. As I drove along a country road late at night in a remote area of northern Italy, I saw some strange glowing lights in the sky. I stopped my car and got out to take a look as the lights drew closer. It was at that moment that my car engine died, the lights went off, street lights dimmed, and my cell phone with which I was trying to capture some pictures of the lights in the sky went completely black. With no place to run, and no place to hide, I stood there transfixed by the illuminated orbs that seemed to move in complete silence. The last thing I remember is one of them hovering directly above my head as a brilliant white light beamed down from the orb. And that's it. Yesterday, I woke up back home in my bed. For a moment I thought it had all just been a crazy dream. Then I realized that nearly 8 months and 150-plus pages of TFWG (or the FWG as some prefer) had passed by. Weird, isn't it?

See you again with all four eyes plus my 3-D googs just to be sure my eyes don't deceive me, as I live and breathe!

Yeah, I hate when that happens, dmargalotti. Glad to see you back.

As I live and breathe I can't believe that I was away for so long but I'm telling you, those aliens must have put me in some sort of suspending animation so they could do all kinds of tests and experiments on me and I wouldn't be surprised if they installed some kind of tracking device in me.

If they installed some kind of tracking device in me (or you), they will know where I (or you) am (or are) which means they might drop by and leave a contribution or two or seven which means more business and more pages and then they might tell all their alien friends in other galaxies which means even more new visitors and friends.

So I see this as a good thing overall. Were you probed?

Even more new visitors and friends would be a good thing but I'm not sure they all speak English, or for that matter, any language ever heard on Earth.

I have no idea what happened up there while I was away from here, WMC so you can save your probing questions. Get it? Now if you don't mind I need to check in on the lovely young library interns.
