Fantastic word game

No hot dogs for you (me) at the picnic as I apparently somehow missed Miss Silkie's rare weekend contribution, while she was running regular Fun Department activities, which was posted 4 minutes ahead of mine but I swear that it wasn't there when I posted but, then again, I pretty much thought I was talking to myself as I often do because no one but me is ever here on the weekend so I never bothered to look for it.

Movie today as well as refreshments on the band camp common this afternoon for all the band campers and their families.

Pretty much everyone is moved in. There will be a few stragglers tomorrow. Thanks to scanman and his crew and all the PW volunteers.

And, hey look, Mikaela has made a rare appearance. Hi Mikaela. :)

All the band campers and their families enjoyed the free movie shown outside on the great lawn and it was great to hear them sing along to all the songs they know from Grease.

Grease is one of my favorite movies because it starts my favorite band camp graduate, the very lovely Olivia Newton-John.

Olivia wasn't able to make it in person this time around but sent a video message which played just before the movie. She received a nice ovation from the band camp returnees and a look of shock from the first timers.

Here I am (Just When I Thought I Was Over You) is a hit from 1981 by the Australian Band Air Supply.

Air Supply, which Kenny played a couple of times Saturday night at Illusions, was apparently enough to bring Kenny out of his posting hibernation.

Enjoy that rare appearance, we won't see him now for another month or so. We just might have to have one of scanman's team members put a tail on him.

His posting hibernation may have come when I fell and accidentally hit my head on the corner of my Yamaha Speaker Saturday night , true story, some blood, not no big deal and I'll Be ready to rock this weekend, same bat time, same bat channel.

Dolly Parton kept showing up to sing on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson but for some reason he could never lift his eyes high enough to meet her gaze.

The above post is best read with the voice of Groucho Marx in your head.

Gaze fixed on the interns, the library cat was sure that she stared long enough the library interns were smart enough to know exactly what she was seeking.

Needs of the band campers were met very swiftly this past weekend as the move-in for the Fall Session went very smoothly as it usually does.

There was a brief kerfuffle in the late afternoon when some of scanman's security team kicked out some spies from one of those other band camps in the next county. Job well done! scanman, make sure a full report is on my desk by noontime Friday.
