Fantastic word game

The curve up ahead is what is called a blind curve and is better known around those parts as "Dead Man's Curve", marked by a very old, very tall tree that marks the place as you drive into the curve heading up the mountain.

Not the same as Jan and Dean's drag racing dead man's curve though.

As you drive into the curve heading up the mountain, please make sure to pay attention to what's ahead of you, what's behind you, and what's in the car with you.

Safety moments in the band camp library are sponsored in part by PowerWorld LLC, Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits, Illusions, the 80s Rockfest, and Denny's.

It's another weekend and I'll be roaming around band camp at various times this weekend spending time with the band campers because that's what a good Game Czar does. And we'll see you tomorrow night at the new Illusions. Have a great weekend.

PowerWorld LLC, Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits, Illusions, the 80s Rockfest, and Denny's have already committed to aiding in hurricane relief efforts if they are needed as Hurricane Florence threatens to make landfall along the east coast of the United States.

The east coast of the United States currently has people monitoring three hurricanes - Florence, Helene and Isaac - churning across the Atlantic Ocean toward the Gulf of Mexico and the Eastern Seaboard.

The wrong direction at this point would be heading east as people need to prepare to head west along their nearest evacuation route.

Right now, it's looking like it's forecast to slam into the Wilmington, NC area. I lived there in 1999 and 2000. 1999 brought major Hurricane Floyd and 2 minor hurricanes.

All band camps in the soon to be affected areas have already been evacuated and all band campers have been flown home. All staff has been evacuated to inland camps. The camps themselves have been shut down with only skeleton crews on hand while necessary.

Their nearest evacuation route will be pretty busy the next few days so hopefully people don't decide to wait until the last minute to leave because they may find that gas stations have run out of gas and shut down.

Down the road apiece, we know full well that there will be a line of band campers from that other camp at the gas station, all coiled and tangled around itself.

Fruit and drinks and lots of other stuff are available at your nearest evacuation center so hunker down and make the best of things until Florence passes by.

Movie today as well as refreshments on the band camp common this afternoon for all the band campers and their families.

Pretty much everyone is moved in. There will be a few stragglers tomorrow. Thanks to scanman and his crew and all the PW volunteers.

And, hey look, Mikaela has made a rare appearance. Hi Mikaela. :)

Hi WMC. :) I was away on vacation back in August and just decided to take a break from posting for the time being, but now here again.

Until Florence passes by, Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel will be out in the elements risking his life to bring you coverage that puts you right in the middle of the storm.

Storm coverage will continue to be all over every type of media known to man as we get to know Hurricane Florence until she finally dies.

Mikaela, honeybunch, I've mentioned this previously. Rather than wasting a post just to say hello, would it have killed you to actually play the game while you were posting? See, we have had this goal for a really long time of reaching 10,000 pages of game playing. But, see, when someone comes in and posts nothing but dialogue and doesn't actually play the game while they are right there in the game, that artificially inflates our numbers and we don't like that and it makes your friendly Game Czar's head explode. And then Miss Silkie and the lovely young library interns have to clean that up and get me a new head. So, cupcake, please please pretty please, if you are coming INTO the game, please take the time to actually PLAY the game. Ok my little tulip?? Uncle WMC thanks you for your cooperation as does Uncle dmargalotti, Uncle scanman and Miss Silkie. :)

Sears stores are few and far between these days, though they do have their marketplace, where we can still get solid merchandise at affordable prices.
