Fantastic word game

The door to my cozy and plush former Game Czar office remains locked, lights turned off, and a herd of farm animals tucked away in the nooks and crannies.

It was never my corner office, actually, and you all know this, but I do have the state-of-the-art security heifer, Lola, keeping close guard of it. She strives to make the ranch proud, every single day, since Scanman abandoned her and left her without hay, love, or a warm hand on her underbelly.

The nooks and crannies of the underbelly of another heifer -- once beloved, now frozen -- were explored and explained, in more detail than was probably necessary, in a series of posts last year that irritated some TFWGers so much that they headed for the hills earlier this year.

Might as well get in a boring clue of my own, seeing as how WMC has declared today some sort of boring holiday.

Earlier this year we were all introdiced to Ginger the Embraceable Ewe, and that was made possible by our good friend (and former contributor), Kemosabe.

He was unceremoniously omitted in the previous name naming of current and former Fantastic players. A raise of the Miller Lite tallboy towards Wisconsin way.

I hate to admit it, CT, but I think it was more about me naming the coup what I did, that ran the others off to the hills. Live and learn, my friend. That was too far, on my part, and our distinguished colleagues let me know about it.

Just not here, at Fantastic Word Game, is more than one sentence allowed per contribution.

Someone, not naming any names mind you, seems to be gathering up enough demerits to stuff a few Christmas stockings this year. Then again, maybe I'm wrong and the package will turn up in my roadside box in front of the ranch.

More than one sentence allowed per contribution would make a mockery of this game, while simple misspellings and typos are less serious offenses.

Nonetheless, I'm afraid rose has picked up three more demerits for his "introdiced" typo three entries back.

Offenses (of the linguistic variety, of course), if they are serious enough, have been known to cause cranial explosions that can be heard coast to coast and around the world.

... on great radio discussion boards like The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as most prefer).

Coast to coast and around the world, most TFWG players know enough to copy and paste a clue if they think they might miss a word but, sadly, rosecitymedia is not one of those people.

rosecity forgot the word 'corner' from my ending clue for his beginning clue and CT (and everyone else) missed that until I came along to call him out in front of the whole class. CT, along with demerits for his typo, perhaps add another or three for the missing word in the clue.

Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars. Here's a famous Casey Kasem meltdown:
Ponderous, man!

His 10-gallon hat hasn't been on his long-haired head as of recent times, but when it's needed, he has 3 versions on standby with which to entertain you.

Weird. Talking about myself in the 3rd. Like I'm floating over my own body, looking down upon a lifeless corpse.

Anyway, a rambling rundown of the hats as follows:.

The standard white, 10-gallon. Normal foolishness and hilarity to ensue...for most.

The oversized, yellow 20-gallon. For those times when traditional redneckery just isn't enough to get the job done. This is where we're to delve into the Tennessee hillbilly territory. Of which, I know a thing or two.

Finally, the black, George Strait-approved 10-gallon Resistol. Looks similar to the burnt sienna one that I sent to CT months back. Let's all hope that one stays sitting upside down on the shelf in the closet.

Sorry about that missing corner, WMC. I assumed that everyone here knew it was, is, and likely always be in the corner. The fact you were specifically assigned that office probably remains a mystery to some, but you and I both know. 😉

Step into my cozy and plush former Game Czar corner office, rosecity, and you'll see that the reason it was in the corner is because I was able to keep tabs on all the goings-on around band camp plus it was an easy walk for the lovely young library interns to come by with some tidbits.

Tidbits from the sports world can help you with your parlay bets on anyone of the various online sports betting websites.

Can't believe that nonsense is not only legal, but endorsed and embraced by athletes and the professional sports leagues.

Online sports betting websites are nonsensical to me as well, Dave, but nothing like reading the extracurricular musings of the Vermont Boudoir while, apparently, wearing a 20-gallon hat of his own.

I was forced to dig my own 20-gallon out from the closet just to comprehend all of that..."thar". It sure wasn't Texas redneckery that he spoke, mind you, but more a taste of the 20-gallon lifestyle found in the territory of southeastern Arkansas...

*puts my own 10 gallon back on*

... I'll tell you what.

Cement shoes are going just a bit too far over CT simply adding an extra "hat" to my prior end clue, but I believe a 3-piece demerit package would've sufficed, had he not sent me notification that it was now fixed and I had to rework this one.

I still applaud your willingness to incorporate the Cantankerous Colon in your submission, Compadre.

Distributed to all of the Godless non-believers worldwide, a 4x6 postcard copy of the "Hail Mary" prayer was the only defense the masses could muster against the demonic-powered "comet" we humans have recently labeled 3i Atlas.

🤔

Maybe I'd just better put the hat back on and leave it.
