Fantastic word game

If we even have one anniversary celebration in one location, it will quickly overflow so we are having celebrations in several locations including the administration building, the new Illusions, Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits, the football field at PowerWorld University, and every PowerWorld band camp location around the globe.

I had heard that there might even be a big party down south at the rcm ranch but the sudden disappearance of the rcm ranch's owner and proprietor has put that on hold. Odd that he suddenly disappeared. He's probably waiting until tomorrow or Thursday when my daily countdown ends. Or will it REALLY end?? Hmmmmmmm!

Speaking of which, just 1 more day. Just a few hours as a matter of fact.

The administration building, the new Illusions, Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits, the football field at PowerWorld University, and every PowerWorld band camp location around the globe will now begin celebrating the 19th anniversary of the FWG.

Speaking of which, happy 19th anniversary, Fantastic Word Game! 🎉🎊🎉

The 19th anniversary of the FWG (or TFWG, as fans of the definite article prefer) is not particularly noteworthy, seeing as how the 20th is just a year away, and big celebrations are usually reserved for years ending with zero.

Curb your enthusiasm, people. You'd think RCM and his entire cast of critters, past and present, would be here for this if it were truly significant, wouldn't you?

Zero attention will be paid to getting any work done today as we all celebrate the 19th anniversary of the longest word and sentence writing game in the history of the interwebs.

I say everyone should party party party because you never know when things will just disappear. Happened a few years back before these Radio Discussions boards became what they are today. Previous boards shut down without notice, everything was gone. So party like it's 1999 or any other year for that matter. And thanks to one and all for making it happen. Happy Anniversary! Woohoo!!

The 19th anniversary of the longest word and sentence writing game in the history of the interwebs will be marked by parades, parties, and maybe even a presidential proclamation.

Some kind of special anniversary should be recognized due to the fact that it's now day three since we last heard from our own resident rambling redneck.

If anyone is near Tyler, Texas or planning to head in that direction, let me know. It might be a good idea to stop by the RCM Ranch for a well check.

Our own resident rambling redneck has chosen to avoid all of the celebrations as we now head towards 20 years.

Yo, rosecity, if you are are looky-looing, just 364 days until our 20th anniversary!!:cool:

20 years from now, people will come across the yellow Stetson n' black Resistol layin' partially buried beneath the reddish soil of ETX n' wonder just what in the world really happened here?

Sorry, y'all. Been busy decoratin' Holly. It's sure takin' a heap o' tinsel n' garland, n' even caused a bit o' a miff with Lola, I'll tell you what.

The baby in the manger, whom the 3 Wise Men sought out, was never meant to represent minsters like the duo o' the Reverends Ed Cash n' Doctor Carl Pathos.

Thanks, Die-rector o' Linguistics (Linguistics Czar, as this here redneck pre-fers).

Those private jets aren't cheap, that's fer sure, but I reckon those gold-plated co-lection plates bein' passed 'round from pew to pew at the House O' Margalotti Enterprises (HOME, as I reckon I'll go 'head n' coin) also cost a pretty penny.

Er...uh... nickel. Ain't no more pennies bein' made, y'know.

Somebody fer-got to mention the unavailability o' the legendary K-M-Double-O calls in Min-e-get-down-ola, Texas, by golly. I reckon I'll shamelessly plug it here n', o' course, totally on the house.

General Store opens at 5:30, if'n yer lookin' to unload a few dozen Tasty Tidbits, er sumthin'. Make sure you mind yer P's n' Q's with Miss Annie. She ain't cantankerous like the ol' midday codger.

A pretty penny, and then some, wouldn't be enough to pay the FCC for permission to use a set of call letters beginning with K on this side of the Mississippi.

Which is why my post (52,833, as RadioDiscussions prefers) featured only W calls, along with the face of the WMOO cow from northeastern Vermont.

Mississippi River ain't so good at separatin' them there K n' W call sets 'round the dial, given WOAI in San Antone, WBAP in the Big D, n' KDKA in The Steel City.

'n it ain't just the old guard o' stations, neither. We right near had a WETO-FM light up in neighborin' Lou-ze-ana, a couple o' years back. It's too bad the group ran out o' money.

The Steel City was listening to KDKA even earlier than The Big D was listening to WBAP, but try requesting misplaced call letters now and those commissioners (FCC variety, not PowerWorld) will laugh you right out of the room.

Are you sure that proposed Louisiana station's city of license wasn't on the east side of the Mississippi, rose. or does the FCC make exceptions to the K/W rule for stations in states that are divided by the Big River?

The hayseed's answer, which mentioned Mooringsport, La., brought to mind the memorable signoff of KTBS-TV, which also transmitted from there.

Sung by Mickey Newbury, with announcements by Reisor Bowden, best known as the ring announcer for Mid-South Wrestling, which was produced at KTBS.

There goes the waterworks in these here eyes.

Damn...that was just purdy, CT. Ain't heard that sign-off in years.
