Fantastic word game

I have never seen a credible politician yet, who actually lives up to every word of his campaign promises.

[size=8pt]Or as Carnac the Magnificent once eloquently put it:
ANSWER: Seth Thomas, Wolfman Jack, and the candidates' campaign promises.
QUESTION: Name a clock, a jock and a crock.

(May a diseased poultryman stage a pecking contest in your shorts!)

Campaign promises, confirmation hearing promises and most cooking shows are rather tailored to those who are entertainment minded, but that comes from one who was taught that honesty is the best policy and also how to cook by reading cookbooks - and then there were those ever important labels on cans of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup.

Those ever important labels on cans of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup are as hard to read as a text message when you're flying down the highways on your Mongoose at 30 mph.

Or 45 hectare per liter, or whatever the metric equivalent is up there in the Far Northwest Corners.
Hello from America, Darth!
We have automobiles here. But then again, apparently you have a lot of them too, if you're dodging them on the highways up there. ;D

Steam digester expert raptusregaliter will be giving free lessons this coming Saturday afternoon at PowerWorld Cafeteria and Junk Emporium.

It will be a rare personal weekend appearance for raptus. Come on out, you won't want to miss it.

@Quad: had to look on my car's spit-o-metre, but it's ~45Km/H. That, of course, assumes there's no prevailing southerly or northerly acting upon me as well. (The I-5 corridor, particularly in the Vancouver area, is effectively a big wind tunnel because of its proximity to the Columbia River. SR14 even more so, as it (mostly) runs parallel to the river!

Incidentally, when I have ridden along the highway I have used the shoulder. Gets kinda' rough when I hit the occasional patch of broken glass or truck-tyre fracments, tho....

Update: Well, WMC beat me to it. I don't know how s/he does it, but WMC beat me to it. Build off WMC's post and I will remove mine.....

On display in the climatic scene west of the Cascades, is a 30% chance of showers being parlayed into a 100% chance of rain.

Not that it matters to me, because at this very moment I am writing this from a truck stop, whilst en route to Pendleton for the 4th. Gonna do like I did last year--go to my friend's place on the reservation, and there we'll blow up a bunch of stuff and generally cause all matter of racket long into the night! Thankfully it isn't as dry over there now as it was last year. Having an "Indian Spring" like we have had this year will do that. ;o)

If I don't write back in the mean-time, or even if I do, have a fun weekend and don't blow too many appendages off.....

A 30% chance of showers being parlayed into a 100% chance of rain could be best interpreted by a meteorologist whose work is as fine as her looks.

Her looks make our night out better than it was supposed to.

Supposed to be a wonderful next several days for Independence Day celebrations, especially if you are not in the mood to have to start sentences with such a difficult sentence ending as that with which the next poster on FWG had to work.

The next poster on FWG had to work today and has to work tomorrow, but will be off for a 3 day weekend.

For a 3 day weekend, I expect you all to be refreshed and relaxed for your return to the office on Tuesday.

Darth, thanks for completely wasting a post without a contribution. Is is THAT difficult to edit your post? That's WHY there's an edit option. The site also alerts you when someone has already posted. So, if that happens, just 'erase' what you already wrote and go with something new. Happens to Quad all the time. I mean, you ARE Mr. Technical, Darth. Figure it out. We don't like wasted posts, ya know what I mean?? TFWG appreciates your support.)

On a Mongoose doing 90 mph on I-5 you better have good brakes, especially coming down the Grapevine in Southern California going north towards Bakersfield.

The Grapevine in Southern California going north towards Bakersfield was the longtime retirement home of The California Raisins.
