Fantastic word game

Hee Haw ,I remember it well especially the segment "Where oh where is my lady tonight, she was here and poof she was gone".

It was very popular here in the San Joaquin Valley, Buck Owens was from Green Acres CA( next to Bakersfield), we have 5 FM country stations in Fresno and Bakerfield has 5 as well,L.A. and S.F. only have one.

Around the neighborhood we saw yard sale after yard sale and people who were making a last stitch effort to stay out of the ditch.

The ditch where you found those lyrics did you wrong, kenrayc!

Where oh where are you tonight? Why did you leave me here all alone? I searched the world over and thought I'd found true love. You met another and PFFFFFT you were gone!

kenrayc should have looked up those lyrics, I was going by memory of watching Hee Haw over 30 years ago.

Over 30 years ago, kenrayc was drinking while watching Hee Haw and, thusly, remembers things that didn't happen and vice-versa.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. :D

Oxymorons are two opposite words counterdicting one another, like "jumbo shrimp", "peaceful conflict" or "functional Macintosh".

This post, of course, being brought to you by: Linux. Don't use the Internet without it!

And by: Orangina. The official drink of Pendleton 2010. Available at a Cash & Carry near you. ;o)

Starry-eyed sycophants who suck up to Olivia Newton-John run rampant around this joint.

Around this joint Olivia Newton -John is the queen of classic hits music and TFWG, a good example, I was listening to a classic Casey KasemAT40 of the 80s from 1987 and they were doing a special, the best songs of the 80s and Olivia Newton-John's hit Physical was number one.

Olivia Newton-John's hit "Physical" was number one for a remarkable ten weeks in 1981 and 1982 on the Billboard Hot 100, bookended by two songs from Hall & Oates.

Two songs from Hall & Oates can't come close to equaling one hit from our lovely Olivia and that last contribution from kenrayc cannot meet the standards of our Linguiistics Czar.

I'd say something but since no one listens to me anymore I'll leave it to raptus to pull it apart if he wants to. Especially since that's his job. ;)

He accepted the job of recording Let It Be even though McCartney had been working his own gig which was to become manifest shortly, and it was also made abundantly clear that McCartney was never married to Lennon's first wife or even had a friendship with Lennon's second wife, even though there were some who tried to join McCartney and Lennon inextricably at the hip in separate incarnations and make them one and the same person.

One and the same person is Anyacat and our resident topless driver and, since we haven't seen her for a few days, I'm thinking she is out and about spending her long holiday weekend with some carefree highway topless driving.

Sorry for the extra i back there. I blinked and completely missed it. :D

Pass the summertime with me driving topless aimlessly around sun dappled country roads because the crowd at the house was driving me crazy.

(Back, burned, exhausted.)

The Pacific Northwest is nice and cool this time of year, not like The Central Valley in California.
