Fantastic word game

Bottles of "Moxie," the worst tasting cola in the history of the world, can still be purchased in some New England states.

New England states
stores sometimes offer both "Old" and "New" Moxie; the former flavored with root of gentian!

(c'mon folks, "Google" it...no cheap cop-outs....)

Gentian flavored "Moxie" may be fine for some folks, but I'll take either "Cheerwine" or "Dr. Pepper" made from cane sugar.

(Heck, even Coke taste better when it's made from cane sugar).

Words like bereft are used by those who think their command of the English language will fool us into thinking they are intellectually superior when in fact they are for the most part bereft of any real substance to their intellect.

Intellect, schmintellect, some people, and I include myself among them, just love to throw in silver dollar words to make the game more interesting, but the point is taken, and the vocab will be dialed down in future.

Future lexicographers will still include in their dictionaries words like the legendary "disestablishmentarianism".

Disestablishmentarianism, while quite long is not nearly as long as this word, the longest in any English language dictionary, PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS.

PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILICOVOLCANOCONIOSIS may be the longest word in the dictionary, but my idea was to introduce a word that was once used in actual speech but has since fallen out of favor, but having been slapped down one to many times, I'll stick with the simple and easily used.

Used, Remember back in the old days when even the GM used?

Used to be called "Lake Webster" but now the official
signs along the highway in Massachusetts call it Lake
Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchabunagungamaugg.

(and it appears in a few English-language dictonaries, being an "official" name for a lake. Hint: Look up and use what it tells you in any of the Google dictionaries...don't just go for a cop-out!)

Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchabunagungamaugg is a beautiful lake, located about 25 minutes from me, at which I spent the occasional summer day as a kid, as well as in high school and also during my days in college.

(Felt I had to make a guest appearance since the clue was local to me. Away I go again. POOF!)
