Dick "I once shot a man in the face" Cheney is the current vice-President of the United States but some people liken him more to the man behind the curtain, pulling the strings that make G.W. Bush dance like a puppet.
 
Unabated by the Patriots offensive line, a swarming NY Giants defensive unit managed to consistently pressure and sack quarterback Tom Brady enroute to a victory in Super Bowl XLII.
 
Super Bowl XVIIish is a tough adjective to work with, so I'll just punt and let everyone know that the Super Bowl XVII halftime show was titled "KaleidoSUPERscope" and featured the Los Angeles Super Drill Team.

The Los Angeles Super Drill Team, or more accurately, the introduction thereof into the Fantastic Word Game, opens up a whole new slew of joke opportunities, but they're all too obvious: let's not let this thread slip into sitcom-style, 7th-grade locker room humor!
 
Battle-of-the-bands are (or at least were) a popular way for new groups to gain exposure although very often the voting seems to be dominated by teenage girls who are more inclined to vote for the more attractive contestants rather than base their choice on which group is comprised of superior musicians.
