Fantastic word game

El Paso and the Mexican girl, it turns out, according to my journals, didn't really happen to me, but it DID happen to Marty Robbins.

Hey, don't hate the playa, hate the game.
Game messed up? Takes your quarter? Ask the man at the desk, he'll reset it for ya.
Just don't forget to take pee breaks. High score can't fix a distended bladder and soiled pants and/or shoes.

I'm as go-along-to-get-along as the next guy when it comes to any other topic, I just think the TFWG is special.
This place needs a hardass  , and Shirley Booth is dead, so she's not available. :'(
I wish somebody else would step up and defend the TFWG's once-sterling reputation. :'( But it's all me, I guess.
Oh well, Friends are for the outside!

:D

Marty Robbins was an American singer and, as far as I can tell, is in no way related to the Baskin-Robbins chain.

(I knew we could all get along. Now....how do we go about celebrating our 2nd anniversary? I mentioned a couple of pages ago within a post that I hoped we got a mention in Tom Taylor's daily R-I newsletter. That would be nice although it may bring us a whole slew of newbies who won't be familiar with the new SNUB rule. ::) ;D )

A Hard Day's Night featured "Can't Buy Me Love," which could have been the Beatles' biggest chart hit, or maybe is the only cut I really remember well.

Anyacat always comes through in the clutch, doesn't she?

(Now if she could only figure out for us whatever happened to Stuart. ??? )

Doesn't she wonder what happened to Stuart?

(No, she doesn't, but that's another story. Personally, I think the Republican melt-down was too much for our Stuart, who may be too shgell-shocked to participate.)

The crappy economy has caused many people to seek other avenues of escape which is the path followed by our newest friends, LasVegasRadioJunky and andreajesus.

(Right guys? ;D )

LasVegasRadioJunky and andreajesus sounds like the name of one of those hippie-dippie sixties singing groups.

(I haven't posted for a while, but just curious, WHAT THE HECK are you talking about, WMC, saying about me seeking "other avenues of escape"? That's crazy, even by TFWG standards... :))

Groups of people are losing their jobs left and right and will not have a very happy holiday season.

(On andrea, just having a little fun. Serves you right for not posting for awhile. ;) )

At the TFWG, we enjoy a robust economy, healthy relationships, and a terrific prime rib that is out of this world.
