Fantastic word game

Xanado (I believe the correct spelling is Xanadu) is a huge retail and entertainment complex being constructed in the Meadowlands of New Jersey and I really hope the grand opening celebration will feature Olivia Newton-John performing with the Band Camp All Stars.

Olivia Newton-John performing with the Band Camp All Stars is nothing compared to what would happen if I had to rescue WMC from dangerous peril...

Peril is generally dangerous anyway, andrea, so I think you've created an oxymoron or something or other and I bring this up only because I can't think of anything else.

Anything else other than rescuing you, WMC, would get me upset... :'(

Either Olivia Newton-John or band camp would be better than rescuing WMC for me, which might cost me points on the TFWG hierarchy, but when it comes to anything about ON-J [even with the sound off] a man's got to be honest and keep it real.

Dang an ON-J interview is better with the sound on, though. ;)

Keep it real and acknowledge that Xanadu might be the single worst cinematic offense ever that has now leapt (actually limped) from the silver screen to Broadway without Olivia Newton-John.

(Although this is a respectable run-on sentence, it does not hold a candle to those authored by William Faulkner, who stands as a beacon to us all and whose run-on sentences often took up 1/2 page of the printed word. The man was a genius.)

Olivia Newton-John was featured with Electric Light Orchestra on the sountrack to Xanadu; however, this reminder is merely posted as a public service to all band camp attendees by the band camp mixologist.

The band camp mixologist seems to have given himself a title without prior approval from me, the Band Camp Executive Director but that's OK because his services and contributions are in great demand.

If anyone would like to second the nomination, I am ready to present the official title of Band Camp Mixologist to Silkie.

In great demand at PowerWorld are the charms of those of the feminine persuasion... :-*

I'll second that. One Harvey's on the rocks with lime. Is a tip expected?

Persuasion is the last and best book penned by Jane Austen.

(Travel Tip: Preparing for a trip to Germany this Spring. Did I ever tell you that during the bombing of Frankfurt in January 1944, there were so many planes in the air that there was a traffic jam. The Cathedral remain, however, because the Allies used to use the Cathedrals as landmarks for for future bombing. In March 1944, the RAF obliterated the old city, consequently only a few landmark buildings have been reconstructed historically, albeit in a simplified manner.)

Jane Austen was in no way related to Major Steve Austin, the main character on The 6 Million Dollar Man played by Lee Majors whom I believe once had a date with...Olivia Newton-John.

Olivia Newton-John would have had an interestingly hyphenated name had she married Elton John but as we all know both of them play for the other team.

The other team, I think, should be "the same team" in Basnya's post, because from all I've ever heard, Elton John and Olivia Newton-John have both been married/civilly unionized to men for most of their lives.

The men in their histories I do not know anything about, but if you force me to choose which one I have to look at or hear for the rest of my life, I'd definitely choose Olivia Newton-John.

Olivia Newton-John is beautiful and I'd like her to join us this summer at the PowerWorld Melody Tent for an exclusive concert and some Greased Lightning.

Mr. Margalotti, it seems to me that you might want to wait the usually required 90 days before you nominate Silkie for a leadership post given that he made two critical posting errors within a very very short amount of time. On the other hand, Band Camp and your Band Camp Executive Directorship are entities of their own and not under my direct leadership and you are free to do as you so please as I stated when I nominated you in the first place. If it pleases you, that's what's important. I will support your endeavors.

An exclusive concert and some Greased Lightning are two ways to cheer WMC up, although his shorts do seem tied into a knot these days, what with people naming themselves to executive offices that don't exist and other sundry offenses.

(Travel Tip: As you know, Rome never completely conquered the Germans, which accounts for Kaiser Wilhelm I and II, Goethe, Nietzsche, Hitler, and Erich von Stroheim, however, in Obernhain, a small town outside of Frankfurt, there is a wonderfully restored Roman village. Although it was restored in the 19th Century, one still gets a good idea of what a Roman village looked like and what it contained.)
