Fantastic word game

The last night of band camp means early to bed and early to rise, as well as the last night of mosquitoes and flies and spiders and snakes.

Spiders and snakes was a 1970s hit song for Branson family-show favorite Jim Stafford, who was probably never allowed within five miles of band camp.

Malcontents on the black list may or may not include, and may or may not be limited to, Richard Simmons, Bernie Madoff, Rosie O'Donnell, Ross Perot, and anyone who can't carry a conversation without using the word 'like' every third word.

A long time back, before WMC swooped in, I tried to post this:
Malcontents have always been the bane of band camp, so band camp had to develop the black list system to keep the band camp gene pool pure.

But my tab got hung up on the "somebody posted before your post" thing and I just saw it.

Richard Simmons, Bernie Madoff, Rosie O'Donnell, Ross Perot, and anyone who can't carry a conversation without using the word 'like' every third word would feel out of place if they were at the band camp ice cream social or any other band camp function.

The band camp ice cream social or any other band camp function is open to all, but it could use some more of the feminine persuasion... :-*

The band camp ice cream social or any other band camp function is closed to malcontents, like, you know, Paris Hilton.

Oh Hell, AJ got there first

Pure as the driven snow is how young women were once described when such things mattered.

Persuasion as in Crystal Blue Persuasion was a big hit for Tommy James and the Shondells in 1969.

Sorry Cat, Andrea's end clue was persuasion not pure. Are you feeling OK?

1969 was three years after I was born which was a simpler time when I didn't have a care in the world and would have loved to have participated in the early stages of TFWG except the internet didn't exist yet and, even if it did, I didn't know how to write yet.

Miss Anyacat, do I need to restate the rules for you? The 'using the previous poster's end clue' thing? It's not using an end clue from two or three postings ago. And it's not using a clue that the poster said WOULD have been his clue had someone (in this case, me) not beat him to a post. I'm thinking you need to stop driving topless until summertime. You might be getting a headcold or something. ;)

If certain other people were still posting here, I'd have to issue demerits or they'd start another war of words. Please read all posts carefully and accurately before posting. TFWG thanks you for your support. 8)

Yet more than a decade earlier I breathed my first and was pleased to find that It is another great day to be me.

It is another great day to be me could have been the original working title for the song, I've Got To Be Me which is most closely associated with Mr. Sammy Davis, Jr.

The original version of Oceans Eleven was almost as lame as the remake.

(Honestly, these things just happen when one is well into one's dotage. We are not as as perfect and pure as the driven snow as what's-his-name.)

AND I forgot to bold (that sound you hear is you-know-who's head exploding)

The original version of Oceans Eleven was almost as lame as the remake.

Remake a good movie from some years ago and even though it probably won't be nearly as good as the original, we will still make a ton of money because the American movie-going public is accustomed to us putting out a lot of rubbish that passes for entertainment.

Rubbish that passes for entertainment passes for entertainment because America wants so hard to be entertained, as if every day of their long, boring, pedestrian lives should rival band camp for its amusement factor.

The band camp penny arcade features vintage 80's arcade games (something near and dear to The Dude's heart) such as Space Invaders, Pac Man, Asteroids, Galaga, and Centipede.

Space Invaders, Pac Man, Asteroids, Galaga, and Centipede are just a few of the vintage games in the band camp penny arcade, along with some original, antique pinball machines and skeeball.
