All the good rock songs have been done is a statement of opinion which, in fact, tends to be highly obvious if anyone's paid attention, in recent years, to Portland's sucky "music scene".
(Yeah, I need to get up on my soap-box here and rant vis-a-vis the above point:
PDX, by my opinion, really hasn't seriously "rocked" since Paul Revere and the Raiders flew the coop at least a couple of generations ago......sorry, I don't qualify acts exempli gratia The Shins as being "rock". More like "the same old bland, banal crap that's been done at least 10,000,000,000 times already if not more". People here seem to go on and on and on ad nauseam as to how "wonderful" and "diverse" and "innovative" and "whatever other hopeful marketroid buzzword you want to throw out there" about Portland's local music set. They really are only fooling themselves using such conjecture in their advertising.
I find it, therefore, unsurprising that Oregon Public Broadcasting carries its "OPB Music" audio programme on a SAP channel of one of its ATSC subs and as an IBAC secondary on FM! There's nothing really "rockin'" to listen to here anymore, it seems. You really have to go to Seattle for that..............
What? SEA had Hendrix and Nirvana, not PDX!
Yes, I do realise this is a blanket statement. Had to get it off my back sooner or later because it's been bugging me for years. So sue me!)
