Fantastic word game

In years I have managed to abhor hip-hop and other similar forms of random noise that seem to pass as "music", and learned to embrace easy listening and classical.

@andreajesus~
What more is there to explain? Silkie posted whilst I was typing mine up and our posts must have crossed somewhere in the network. Ergo, it would have been a double build-up from the ending "what keeps me going". So upon discovering that I re-posted telling everyone to follow Silkie instead, as they posted before I did. I would have just deleted my post outright, but I don't know how to do that with this software.

But here is what I posted originally, not that it really matters much by now:
"What keeps me going throughout the work week is massive amounts of Pepsi and coffee, and a Muzak CD playing on the laptop.

"Specifically we're talking about the venerable "Environmental" programme recorded straight off the DVB-S feed on Echostar, and MP2 ports I made of some of the old Muzak CD-I discs some years back. You really have to go right to the source if you want to get the good stuff. ;o)"

There ya go.

Easy listening and classical music are not something I abhor or detest or write rude comments on youtube about, but I always feel I could improve upon them by hooking a beat up and converting them into hip-hop form.

Just like Eric B. would have me do.
Or maybe you could throw down some ONJ vocal tracks on top of that rope-a-dope dooky music, too.

Hooking a beat up and converting them into hip-hop form is what I like to dooby dooby do.

Shaggy refuses to pick up and bag the mile high pile that surrounds the "clean up after your dog" sign, because he recognizes that the law of the ordinance was answered by the natural order of things in the canine world.

Welcome to TFWG, YEKIMI!

The natural order of things in the canine world apparently includes licking oneself at the oddest of times and I'm sure glad that isn't part of the natural order of things in the human world.

Oh, Silkie, Yekimi is a semi-regular here just like crainebebo and kenrayc. I would think, as our mixologist, you'd be on top of those kinds of things, don't you think? Hmmm??

The natural order of things in the human world includes not backloading our noses, but rather introductions by means of civil, pleasant handshakes as well as acknowledging a friend with a peck on the facial cheek, which seem to be much more appealing to us regular folk at band camp.

Sheesh, I have been out recruiting new members. When was the last time you saw a post from YEKIMI at TFWG? I can't recall any. We're a warm, jovial lot at the band camp pub.

More appealling to us regular folk at band camp are some of the comforts of home such as soft pillows, good friends, and anything home-baked by Silkie.

Yekimi had last posted on page 758 with reply # 7578. As I said, he's a semi-regular. Maybe semi-semi-regular. Point is, he's not brand spankin new to TFWG. Sheesh, do I need to do ALL the legwork here? :p

Soft pillows, good friends, and anything home-baked by Silkie would be about two-thirds correct during these heavy, humid, dog days of summer.

Recipe: Fast and Easy Banana Creme Pie

Ingredients: 1 Shortbread Pie Crust
2 bananas
1/2 Pint of heavy cream
1 small box vanilla pudding (that does not require cooking)
1/8 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 TBSP granulated fructose

Preparation Directions:

Place a [preferably] medium stainless steel mixing bowl in the refrigerator to chill
Slice bananas and place evenly in the bottom of the pie crust shell
Prepare vanilla pudding according to directions on the box and pour over bananas
Place filled pie shell in fridge, covered (usually the plastic that is in the crust when you buy it doubles as a lid once washed).
Top with whipped cream, which is made according to the recipe below mixer notes.

Note: You will require use of your electric mixer for the pudding. Be sure to wash the beaters and chill before proceeding to next step.

Whipped Cream:

Remove chilled mixing bowl from fridge
Pour heavy whipping cream into the bowl
Add 1/8 tsp. vanilla
Using electric mixer on whip setting, whip cream, gradually adding fructose (or sugar) to taste while maintaining whipping until mixture is creamy like the whipped topping you buy in the store, but this is better. Be sure to taste from time to time while mixing, as heavy cream is naturally somewhat sweet.

Remove banana and pudding filled crust from fridge. With a chilled frosting knife or rubber spatula, spread whipped cream evenly on top. Since you will have plenty of whipped cream there is no need to skimp.

Cover your banana creme pie and return finished pie to the fridge for awhile. Remove mixing beaters from the mixer, place them in the empty mixing bowl and give them to whoever was standing over your shoulder while you prepared the whipped cream. Since you will be busy putting your pie in the fridge the beaters and bowl will probably be gone by the time you turn around anyway.

Ahhhhhhh, what a refreshing, summer treat!

During these heavy, humid, dog days of summer, even though we have yet to have many of those this year in New England, I like to sit back, relax, enjoy a refreshing beverage, and watch Silkie and her luscious treats.

Sit back, relax, enjoy a refreshing beverage, and watch Silkie and her luscious treats but for me there's one more thing to add on a 95 degree day: let the AC blow you while you relax, so that you can get cool.

-crainbebo

Let the AC blow while you relax, so that you can get cool is what I have to do 4 months out of the year living in the San Joaquin Valley in Central California.

The San Joaquin Valley in Central California sounds hot but nothing can be as hot as Olivia Newton-John and with that comment, we've managed to extend our streak of continuous daily ONJ mentions by one more day.

For DVD release to all of America is my latest multimedia project: A "making of" documentary on the creation of an illuminated manuscript I have cheekily entitled "The Unnamed TFWG Member Who Suffered An Ailment Occasioned By The Looseness of His Private Life."

The Looseness of His Private Life was the result of mirages created, merged, then recreated by young hos who walk their lizards while trolling the avenue, who failed to heed the warnings, pleas from the grave, of a colleague fifteen and seventeen years prior, of the "mistake" she made that she thought would never catch up to her on her little microphone.

Gee, RaptusRegaliter, I could write the musical score for that if ya want I should.

Her little microphone was the device which, by transduction of physical atmospheric rarefactions into electromagnetic signals using a combination of a diaphragm and voice coil, converted her voice to an electrical signal which was recorded on a tape deck.

@Silkie--

Remember to lick the beaters thoroughly before washing them! No sense letting perfectly edible pudding and whipped cream go to waste.

NOTE: Licking the utensils prior to cleaning them is NOT recommended if you are doing so as an employee in a commercial (or industrial) kitchen and you value keeping your job!! ;o)

A tape deck was what all the analytical band campers turned their computers into for later dissection and analysis on an hour by hour, day by day, week by week, block by block basis, in context by the PowerWorld Executive Offices.

Darth_vader, I did mention to turn the bowl and beaters over after finishing with the whipped cream; however, I must admit that the thought did not occur to me to turn the bowl and beaters over for licking after finishing with the pudding preparation. By all means, here you are. Enjoy!
