Fantastic word game

The message I get from seeing that no-body's posted since 2112 yesterday, is that everybody's probably tired from this weekend's travels and adventures and they've all gone off to bed.

[size=8pt]But not me, oh no. My travels and adventures won't be experienced for another month yet!

And I've still a couple more hours left in my day. The Debian CD I've been downloading since around the time WMC last appeared on here is really taking its sweet time, and it just finally hit the 75% Complete point. This is what I get, I suppose, for living too far away from the local DSLAM.

Sugar plum fairies were not part of today's PowerWorld/TFWG Memorial Day Parade in which all the local band campers proudly marched their way through town and saluted the veterans at the conclusion.

At the conclusion of the holiday weekend it will be business as usual as we collectively put our nose to the grindstone.

Sorry for not posting sooner kids, a pretty big thunderstorm this morning had done a number on our network. Back up and running now...good thing I wasn't planning on taking today off anyway.

Water-cooler talk is much more pleasant here on TFWG where the cooler is not filled with the "koolaid" that was so prevalent on another social forum, not to be named but the subject of a recent highly profitable movie.

Highly profitable movie subjects can be mentioned here if you so desire just as long as you don't start saying things that would require us to take it outside.

Iff'n ya know what I mean.

dmargalotti, not a problem, we had you covered, but now ya gotta post a half hour earlier than normal tomorrow morning. 8)

The new PowerWorld Anatomy Academy may have to alter some of its paradigms after tonight's Bill O'Reilly Show, where Papa Bear said that both former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar and (Bill said it, not kudzooter) Olivia Newton-John claim to have been abducted by aliens.

Otherworldly, surpassing beauty is demonstrated by Olivia, yes, but let us also not forget that those very same properties are present in the ethereal, haunting voice of Jane Barbe.

[size=8pt]Yup, everybody had the day off and I was bored this afternoon, so I blew the dust off my Dad's old blue box, went down to the office, picked up the phone at my desk and had at it. Truth be honest, you won't get too far on the modern-day Public Switched Telephone Network with a blue box once you hit an outside line on the company PBX, or even with a blue box on the outside calling in for that matter (it's all filtered out at the switchboard), but there's lots of fun stuff on there for us "insiders" to play with. Lots of Jane recordings, it turns out! Wish I'd brought my tape recorder with me......

A bit overbearing and pushy are the telemarketers who call my home in the evening expecting me to conduct a business transaction with an uninvited call from a total stranger.

An uninvited call from a total stranger can be handled quickly with a firm "no," unlike that same call from a lifelong friend who has suddenly found a second career, selling insurance or retirement plans.
