Fantastic word game

A Pittsburgh Pirate or a Baltimore Oriole has nothing on the grace, style and poise of a Band Camp Bravo.

[size=8pt]Yeah, I couldn't figure that name out either. It was a WGZOOism that was started by "zaphod" and it eventually stuck. So maybe I'm not supposed to understand it....

A Band Camp Bravo is what Miss Silkie will obviously be hoping for this weekend, because dmargalotti and kenrayc are apparently both indisposed with life and their own parties, but never fear, because Sweetie Pie can attest that I always give it my all and go first class.

Especially now that the travel weary have taken a good long nap, which was obviously very much needed...to the tune of 4 hours. Couple of hands of cards and it will be time for another rest until manana.

Go first class by attending a PowerWorld band camp session and you will never regret it.

I'm home and staying in the administrative building on the band camp campus. I will be up bright and early to welcome in the first band campers and to help with move-in around campus. We had some early birds earlier this evening already. I expect to see most of you (except for dmargalotti and Darth) here and there tomorrow assisting with something.

As yourself can see my command of the English language is not very good but my heart is in the right place.

And I'm happy to report everything else is in the right place too following yesterday's medical procedure. Gotta take it easy all weekend, should be back in the groove on Monday.

The house is all abuzz with munchkins thinking up ways to cheer him up, even past Monday, and they are quite smug and satisfied that while all eyes were on them to supervise at all times, pretending to report all to him, they were still able to pull off a happy time as planned for him all along, right under the old schnozzola.

Right under the old schnozzola and in front of Mrs dmargalotti, the lovely library interns will drop by the dmargalotti homestead this afternoon to brief our International Director of Band Camp on everything related to Labor Day weekend move-in at all PowerWorld band camps worldwide.

Worldwide because he is the international director. Tough weekend to be laid up for an international director but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. On a personal note, so happy to hear that everything is in the right place. ;D

ll PowerWorld band camps worldwide love Mrs. dmargalotti's brasciole, which she is cooking in the sauce in a gigantic vat on the enormous brick barbecue out back, so that nobody will lose their way on accounta they will just follow the aromatic essence right up the backyard.

Boy oh boy, I sure hope the wind is wafting the right way.

Life is perhaps no more serene at times than when watching aquatic life in an aquarium, which appears to be in slow motion at times.

At times, we can post 5 or 6 pages of contributions per day but, lately, it's really slowed down here and I don't think that's a good thing.

I don't think that's a good thing either but with all the end-of-summer vacations and elective surgical procedures scheduled a little slow down in productivity is to be expected but that's okay, because I fully anticipate a return to our more productive ways right after the holiday weekend.

Right after the holiday weekend I'll be going to work just like I was on the holiday itself.

[size=8pt]@WMC=
I was actually at the Band Camp admin centre to-day setting up the PDP-10 and getting everyone's user files ready for the coming term (and will be finishing it all up to-morrow. Entering database records for 1 563 students isn't just a one-afternoon job.)

Didn't you see the scheduling paperwork? ;o)

On the holiday itself I will also be at work, probably wondering where Darth put all my floppy diskettes.

It's good when we have something new to mention, Dave. Not just the same ol' boring generic, cold, soulless responses to basic English language that plague the rest of the internets. ;D

All my floppy diskettes are safely stored with other archive information, but as an aside, I do believe we were correct in thinking that autumn might manifest itself earlier than we are accustomed to, given the yellows and oranges, and leaves floating on by, we are seeing in these parts.

Although I must say that having coffee out here, before others are up and at 'em is quite lovely.

The weather as well as the forest fires in northern Oregon were responsible for the big smoke cloud hanging in the upper atmosphere over most of the city yesterday.

[size=8pt]Seriously, I looked out my window and towards the east, and the sky looked like mud. I don't believe I have seen so much smoke concentrated in the sky during this part of the year. (In the late winter during thermal inversion season, well, that's another story. Then you wouldn't dare go to western Portland without bringing your gas mask...)

@quad--
I put them right there on the shelf beneath your desk, in the Flip & File just like always. ;o)
