Y&T had better watch their backs, or they'll probably get swept up in Ma Bell's arms and become assimillated into AT&T, or as its fanboys like to call it due to its having made a few passes at T-Mobile earlier this year, The New Bell System.
[size=8pt]Just a thought:
Earlier LAST year, Q-West were bought out by Centurytel and sucked up into their big conglomerate, so now we only have three major fone companies: Centurylink (a.k.a. "Centuryqwest", as I affectionately refer them), Verizon/GTE (whichever you want to call them) and of course, big bad AT&T aside from the usual (albeit shrinking) handful of independents and rural "mom & pop" systems--at least those that haven't been sucked up by the current "big three". And meanwhile on the airwave side, you have AT&T desperately trying to get in bed with T-Mobile.....
Do ya kind of get the feeling that 1983/4 never actually happened?
Do ya kind of get the feeling that Judge Greene needs to slip Ma Bell the axe...again?
How much do you want to bet that by the end of the decade all new telephones will be stamped with "X Telephone Conglomerate Property/NOT FOR SALE"?
