Fantastic word game

Much to the former Senator's chagrin, he wasn't able to get a tour today of our northwest territory IT building because Darth was trying to figure out why he didn't see the previous contribution.

Must be another case of quadraphonicitis.

He didn't see the previous contribution, but he more than adequately compensated for his shortcoming, for which we forgave a long time ago.

A long time ago, we realized that these problems occur semiregularly so we ask all contributors to doublecheck the last posted contribution before moving the game forward.

A Kenny and Dave All Night RockRave sure is fun while it lasts but once you get to be my age you can pretty much be guaranteed that you're going to pay for it the next day.

The next day was so exhausting for dmargalotti that two people posted before him with DToTheJ getting the Early Morning Contribution.

Scuttlebutt is a term that is not oft used these days, and somehow scuttlebutt sounds like somebody's ass trying to squeeze into an attic scuttle because there is no stairway or dropstair.

You ain't never getting out of English class if you make an effort to improve your grammar skills.

[size=8pt]For those who may not follow that knotty sentence:

That's called a "double negative". "Ain't" (corruption of "are not") and "never" (contraction of "not ever"), when used in conjunction, effectively negate one another. It's simple arithmetic; in other words, -x - -y = z. Therefore, saying "you ain't never getting out" logically is the same thing as saying "you're getting out".

If you make an effort to improve your grammar skills, you're going to use the words "your" and "you're" appropriately.

Appropriately tailored to the audience, a speech can be rousing and inspiring, but if it's just written and delivered for the sake of being written and delivered, then it will fall flat.

I don't not know about grammar, but I also don't not think 'not' and 'never' are more than double negatives. One is present tense, and the other implies for all future tense, so 'never' might be overkill in canceling out 'am not.' :D

A list of risks for people who claim to be original, but really are just following the truly important, heavy hitters around, might include remembering that they are out of range, that nobody goes out of their way to take them seriously, and that there is always somebody who knows just about all of the people whose names are being dropped while gloating about their insignificant lack of originality.
