Fantastic word game

An awesome, fun-filled vacation could only be made better by waking up to the Band Camp Reveille on KFWG or WFWG or the FM translators, depending on where you are.

And we're almost in time for today's version at 5:45AM EST. Eight minutes yall! Get ready to rise and shine!

Depending on where you are and what time you wake up, you can sometimes beat dmargalotti to the Early Morning Contribution (EMC as most prefer) and, this morning, it looks like quad welcomed us to Thursday.

Thanks quad!

And, ya know, I always thought that the 'posting time' was an hour off but, apparently, it's 2 hours off since it says quad posted at 3:36am yet you say the reveille was going to be in 8 minutes at 5:45. ??? Maybe it's a daylight savings kind of thing?? ???

A co-starring role by Ted McGinley or the kid who played Cousin Oliver on The Brady Bunch probably means the writers have run out of ideas and it's time to end the series and let the stars ride off into the sunset, or a lucrative syndication deal.

A lucrative syndication deal would mean that future generations would get to enjoy the show for years to come.

Well apparently you're all too busy waiting in line for your free Slurpees at 7-11 today so it looks like it's up to me to keep the game moving forward today.

Our Canadian friend, Neil Young was probably better in a bygone era before he got involved in our pile o' ticks.

It's a linguistics thingy.

Our pile o' ticks is a scratching, itching, bloody mess of biting insects who I do not know by name, but as the summer goes on, I hope to learn the name of every tick in the world!

(The snack bar is now open to those who have the requisite 10 cents to get in. They have hamburgers, french fries, cokes, and poopcorn)!

I hope to learn the name of every tick in the world but I don't think that's possible because ticks generally don't have names unless they appear in a Warner Brothers cartoon.

A Warner Brothers cartoon was usually more daffy than a Disney cartoon and it really bugs the devil out of me when a group of porky little kids think I'm a tweety old granny for preferring Disney animation.

See what I did there?

Disney animation might be needed to bring us back to where we should have been if dmargalotti (plus everyone else for that matter) realized he used the wrong clue for his personal early morning contribution this morning.

Go back to the previous page. He followed me and should have used "quad welcomed us to Thursday" but instead used the clue that ended the previous page. And then everyone else continued on as if nothing happened. What AM I going to do with you people? ::)

he used the wrong clue for his personal early morning contribution this morning, but we will allow him some leeway because he was probably working on memorizing the setlist for tonight's 80s Rockfest, which is about to wind down in about three hours.

Three they may only be but I didn't hear anything about a Rockfest for tonight so I'm wondering if they changed it from it's normal Saturday night or did they just add a special set for tonight?

And by 'they' I really mean 'he' because it seem to be just "Dave's 80s Rockfest at Illusions" now since Kenny has disappeared.

A special set for tonight (actually last night) was needed because we (and I mean me since I haven't seen Kenny since I don't know when) were hired for a small private affair involving a talented and beautiful singer/actress from Australia whose name I am not at liberty to disclose.

As for my early morning contribution, I'm tellin' ya those other clues were not there when I posted and I always go back and review my contribution. Plus it was HOURS before anyone followed my post and I had checked back several times during that period and I still did not see those other contributions. Didn't see them at all until this morning. So I'm blaming it on a malfunction/snafu that was beyond my control. However, if the Game Czar feels that disciplinary action is needed, I will humbly accept any penalty he so chooses to impose.

A talented and beautiful singer/actress from Australia whose name I am not at liberty to disclose might be checking out the scenery for Big Chief test pattern, on the way here from The Outback.

On the way here from The Outback this talented and beautiful singer/actress from Australia may want to stop at old Pop's Hamburger Stand in Norfolk, Virginia, where you can get "messyfries covered in Chili" for a buck!

"Messyfries covered in Chili" for a buck are not generally available at the lounge, and will probably not be anytime in the near future, given the upcoming weekend soup cookoff, which will offer reasonable but not dirt cheap anything, so, any ideas of getting in quite that cheaply at the lounge should be tempered and moderated by the little reminder, "Don't Bet Money, Honey", as Little Miss Dynamite Brenda Lee sang.
