Fantastic word game

I'm good for the night after I visit and contribute to the Fantastic Word Game. :cool:

Blame Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan for programming my mind to incorrectly use the word "lay" in a sentence where I should have used the word "lie"! ;)
 
Contribute to the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as everyone knows I prefer) and you'll feel fulfilled for the next 24 hours.
 
The long weekend will mean a short week next week, and I'd love to take a three-week vacation but I'm a week short.

WMC, I got my schedule for this weekend's band camp and I have several fun games ready to go. I'm not bringing Twister, though, because quad still hasn't forgiven me for accidentally stepping on his right hand last year and fracturing his index finger.
 
"A week short" doesn't seem to be that difficult a clue but I just can't come up with anything meaningful or creative tonight.

LARR, I don't think quad would care since he abandoned us so feel free to bring Twister along for the kids if you wish. Can't wait to see you interacting with the kids.
 
Tonight we had one of those late Spring storms with thunder and heavy rain which lasted about 40 minutes.

Stacy Q and U2 have been I invited to our next Summer Jam but, as of late this afternoon, they have not accepted the invitations.

However, I'm pleased to say that both Megan and Olivia will be on hand.
 
A very reliable guy can be found keeping this ship afloat most weekends when everyone else pretty much stays away.

I'm happy to say that the early arrivals are all moved in and getting to know one another this evening. Everything went quite smoothly and I appreciate the work done by those who volunteered this afternoon. Main gates open bright and early at 7am tomorrow morning. Everyone should be at their posts according to the previously released schedules. I'll be at the main gate myself most of the morning before I start roaming around visiting all volunteers and checking things out.
 
Everyone else pretty much stays away when I practice playing my bagpipe at band camp. and I never know if it's because they hate the sound of the bagpipe or they hate the sight of my pale knobby knees when I wear my kilt.

It couldn't be both, could it?
 
My own Marilyn Monroe moment, in the form of Olivia Newton-John, just spent a few hours with me helping some summer band campers move into band camp.

And what a surprise that was for those campers and their families! Everything is going really well today. I'm touring the grounds now with dmargalotti, everything seems a-ok. We saw LARR near the band camp common leading a group of kids in some games; we saw Miss Silkie, where else, in the cafeteria (and also in the library, at Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits, and even handing out care packs in one of the dorms...she gets around); we saw Kenny playing music in the auditorium; and we saw scanman helping out the lunchladies. And, of course, the lovely young library interns were acting as ambassadors thoughout band camp. And good to see a couple of hundred other Power World associates volunteering throughout the day. Great job everyone! Happy Memorial Day weekend.
 
Move into band camp, and be sure to get the rules on the 3x5 index cards from the fun department, which include no prep work wading around the pond at 2:30 AM, just because it appears there is no one watching from the guard house.

Our people are well trained to discern the difference between jumping fish and dinghy oars. They also monitor the tides and keep track of meteor showers.
 
The guard house is staffed 24 hours per day throughout the year, even when band camp is not in session, because security is our utmost priority.

Just passed the band camp common where LARR has his audience engrossed while giving a punnetry show. Heard a lot of groaning. I guess he's doing a good job!
 
Security is our utmost priority and it turns out that LARR does have a serious side as I found out when he was temporarily assisting at the main gatehouse this morning and he actually asked for my identification before I was allowed to enter the band camp grounds.

We might have to have a little meeting Tuesday morning. :)
 
Before I was allowed to enter the band camp grounds, I had to show my official PowerWorld picture ID which was scanned and approved by our security personnel.
