Fantastic word game

The planning phase just never ends when we have so many excited band campers registering and asking for amenities which give us new idea each time for another function at the junction.

Another function at the junction should be very successful considering the large number of people who showed up for our Meet 'N' Greet In The Street.

I know, I know---you want to hear Shorty Long's 1966 hit Function At The Junction. The song stalled at #42 on Billboard's r&b chart and #97 on the Hot 100 but it charted much higher in Detroit, Los Angeles and certain parts of the South. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fskukepblB0

The Street is not the hip new version of Sesame Street.

I wonder if Sesame Street is still on the air. I wonder how many episodes have been broadcast. I wonder how many of the original human cast are still alive. I wonder what ever happened to Snuffleupagus. I bet LARR can answer these and many more important questions on his next episode of TFWG's Fun Factoids (TFWGFF as some prefer).

Sesame Street is one road I frequently ride my bike on since Snuffleupagus is actually a good friend of mine and I commute to his place often so we can hang out!

I, therefore, can assure everyone that he is alive and well and still living on Sesame Street!

Outdoor activities at the July 4th PowerWorld Summer Band Camp Fun Fest include cookouts, three legged races, hiking, pin the tail on LARR, cooking classes with Miss Silkie and the lovely young library interns and mechanical bull riding lessons with MarcB.

That one is tentative because we aren't really sure Marc will show up until he actually shows up.

Mechanical bull lessons with MarcB are taking place right now as WMC and I are preparing for tonight's Rockfest at Illusions.

We are going to blow up the house tonight with the greatest hits from the 70s, 80s, and maybe some 60s and 90s as well.

Tonight's Rockfest at Illusions has just 3 hours to go so you have plenty of time to drop in for some fun and frivolity.

I thought I saw LARR on the dance floor but turns it was just his twin, JeffM. :) Speaking of LARR, anyone seen him? Did Mrs. LARR kidnap him for another vacation?

Fun and frivolity exists here but not at TFWG2 on the other site where the only one still contributing is myself.

Seriously, I'm the one who's made the last 4 contributions. Miss Silkie, perhaps you could send one of the lovely young library interns over there. Even both LARR and his alter ego have disappeared over there. Then again, LARR has disappeared here too.

Myself not wanting anyone to see my selfies of myself posing in front of my shelf where I keep books for myself to read, I therefore printed out my selfies and put them high up on my shelf, and doing so should do wonders for my shelf's shelf esteem.

What makes anyone think that Mrs. LARR and I could afford another vacation so soon after our last trip to Walt Disney World? We did see the Inside Out movie yesterday. Be sure to stay for the credits; the best part of the entire film is the final scene during the credits. I will not spoil it by describing it.

Toot your horn briefly to remind the individual driving the vehicle in front of you, who has become distracted by his/her compulsive need to send that text response, that the light has changed to green and it's time to get going.

Get going on your contributions here because I just tried to access TFWG2 on the other site but received an error message of some kind.

Perhaps their server is down.

An error message of some kind over there is, unfortunately, par for the course.

It's not a slam against the board itself as it is against the software and hosting service used for the board. Unfortunately for Wordpric--erm, Wordpress, that's part of its design. Had L-- not changed it to that shoddy, bug ridden platform and kept using real software to run the site like he was doing before, it would undoubtedly scream unlike now.

But then, Wordpress is really, really TRENDY. Unfortunately for some (not going to drop any specific handles here) that trumps all else, because f-- annoying things like stability and security.

Par for the course when waiting a few seconds after the light changes, to make sure nobody is barreling along through an intersection, should not be confused on band camp grounds with text messaging, and that is why we have a sign posted that reads, "When you are driving my car and can see what is in front of me then you get to make the determination as to when my car rolls, since I am not unduly delaying you from making good time to go nowhere in particular.

Especially in the summertime with munchkins everywhere, walking along, singing a song, running and knocking around.

To go nowhere in particular, I bought a 22-by-36-inch sheet of white paper and folded it up so it resembled a road map and now when my wife is in the car with me and starts yelling that we're in "the middle of nowhere," I can tell her to take the map from the glove compartment and study it and then tell me if she still thinks we're lost or if we're exactly where the map shows we should be.

And she just gives me a blank stare. :) By the way, how many years has it been since anyone kept gloves in an automobile's glove compartment? Maybe we should find a better name for it.
