Fantastic word game

New material will hopefully be sung by The Lovely Olivia (TLO as I prefer) at her next band camp concert which is not too long from now.

Another edition of the 80s Rockfest tonight at the new Illusions. This time, I'm almost kind of sort of positive that MarcB might possibly definitely show up. Or not.

From now to Eternity is being planned as a sequel to James Jones' 1951 novel From Here To Eternity but the executives at Scribner's Publishing are uncertain if they want to proceed with the project after seeing all the negative reaction to Harper Lee's sequel to To Kill A Mockingbird.

If you frequently complain about Harper Lee's Go Set A Watchman you, too, can be a "harper." :)

To Kill A Mockingbird is a popular literary work but it's brought this conversation to a screeching halt.

Nice job, Thomps. :)

A screeching halt was what my car came to on a two-lane road in rural Arkansas in 1982, but it was too late to save the life of the mockingbird, which I found quite dead, lodged in the grille.

True story, I swear, and I should have written a book, but what could I have called it without inviting a lawsuit?

The grille will be fired up this weekend and the hamburgers, along with a few other meat selections, will be cooked to mouth-watering can't-wait-to-sink-your-teeth-into-'em perfection.

Beholder was the cute name I gave to the hive which hung beneath the eave over my back porch.

Get it? "Bee holder"? Didn't I say I could make a pun out of almost any word? Yes I did. Next!

My back porch is very small compared to my front porch which covers most of the front of my house.

It even has a big couch to sit on.

The front of my house looks a lot like the back of my house except that the front of the house has a front door while the back of the house has a back door although, curiously, the front door does look much like the back door.

Hmmmm. I wonder if someone sold me two front doors or two back doors.

The front door does look much like the back door which makes it confusing when entering the house for the first time so if I were you, I would enter through the garage but only after calling ahead to remind WMC that he forgot to bold the damn clue!

He forgot to bold the damn clue, for which he would have sued the rest of us in one of those New York minute deals, but even worse was the fact that dmargalotti had to try to figure out where he wanted the clue to begin and end.

Seriously, WMC, this will not get your library privileges back any sooner.

If you know where to look for the ardor, you'll notice that both CT and dm posted at approximately the same time but dm (who posted second) should have noticed but didn't but I will be a saint and not mention it.

The clue is IT.
