Today has been hot and steamy in your Game Czar's neck of the woods which makes your Game Czar very happy that, in real life, he spends his actual work life in cold and comfortable grocery stores.
Quicker than you can say 'topless driving', Dave and kenny and I are doing some soundchecks at Illusions in advance of bringing some cool music to a hot crowd.
He has always turned us down, but that's probably a good thing because he'd probably scare the stuffing out of the kids and we can't have that sort of thing going on now, can we?
Bold punctuation such as the question mark (?) appearing at the end of the previous two posts can generally be ignored and not included in the beginning clue of the next contribution according to TFWG's Official Rule Book which was ratified and adopted by the executive board and enacted by the Game Czar in the fall of 2009.
In the fall of 2009, according to some quick research of the archives, we had quite a few regulars who were actively contributing several times per day.
It was fun reading over a few pages from August 2009. Ok, I realize August is more summer than fall but so what. Who and what I found:
Myself--I was already Game Czar at that point. No clue when I became Game Czar or how or why. That's a research activity for another day.
dmargalotti--only International Director of Band Camp. Director of Early Morning Contributions had not happened yet.
Anyacat--It was sooooooooo nice to see her name. Such a funny girl too. She was our Director of Energy and Tourism. She eventually started giving travel tips.
Stuart Greenberg--No surprise but Stuart had just come back from a sabbatical and had issues keeping up with the game. It was a recurring theme for him. Of course, he had his infatuation with TheDude who was long gone by then but couldn't keep from talking about him. Stuart would eventually leave AGAIN! and miraculously reappear about 8 or 10 years later (which was earlier this year or maybe it was last year, I dunno). Naturally, he just didn't quite get it AGAIN! and left AGAIN! a short time later to continue his never ending quest to find TheDude.
RaptusRegaliter--Linguistics Director. A very funny guy. Checked his 'statistics'. He (that name anyway) was last seen on these boards on December 12, 2012 which happens to be 12/12/12.
kenrayc--kenny!
Darth--Only saw one contribution from him during the 3 pages or so that I used for research but I recall that he was a fairly active contributor back in the day.
crainbebo--Used to be fairly active here.
Miss Silkie--Back then, we were referring to you simply as Silkie. Also, you were ONLY Chief Mixologist and Head Librarian. Director of Fun and Owner/Manager of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits had not happened yet.
andreajesus--very active during this time. She came and went quite often.
Update: I checked Stuart's profile. He was "last seen" in December 2019. I guess it's been a tad longer than I thought when he was here. Seems like yesterday.
Since last Thursday, I have dropped by Tasty Tidbits and the library to check on the training process for our newest class of lovely young library interns.
Ohhh Miss Silkie. You are bound and determined to see my head explode, aren't you.
The training process for our newest class of lovely young library interns has been very challenging because of the health protocols implemented by the school on Monday.
