Fantastic word game

Inspector Clouseau had never been called on to investigate any shenanigans here at The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as some people nowadays prefer) because there are no scandals here.

A pebble in a pond effect reminds me of the time Deuce Bigelow was asked if he'd ever parked his bicycle in an airplane hangar.

Hell hath no fury...like a Linguistics Czar scorned. He once hit me in the back of the head with a steel chair for a lot less than what you've now gone and done, WMC. Hey, don't say I didn't warn you. If you wanna run and hide, I can put down some extra hay out in the barn. I'm sure you and Connie have plenty to talk over.

In an airplane hangar yesterday we read and shared the news, and then the headline disappeared and was replaced with some nonsense or other.

Some nonsense or other from rosecity regarding the professional relationship between CT and I could start something but CT and I are both adults which means we can discuss this issue respectfully and honorably.

Interesting sentences lose much of their appeal when basic rules of grammar are ignored.

As is the case with Silkie's latest, which fails to set off the introductory phrase "As best I can" from the rest of the sentence with a comma. Three demerits.

Three demerits are also heading WMC''s way for two errors, also involving commas, in his latest entry. The first comma should be between "bit" and "but," and there should be a comma between "on" and "leading."

Ignored rules of grammar were accidental so I fully accept those demerits while posting an Early-ish Morning Contribution (EMC as some prefer).

With apologies to dmargalotti who is in charge of EMCs but didn't post one.

Those in military service, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice for America, are especially remembered on Memorial Day.

Memorial Day festivities at The Ranch begin before the rooster crows.

Oh, WMC, we all know good and well that you sincerely care for and deeply appreciate this ol' 10 gallon hat wearin', boot scootin', farm livin', long-winded, long-haired, long-bearded and loudmouthed redneck from the great Lone Star State.

Go ahead and admit it. You know you want to. Deep down inside, I'm really starting to grow on you. 😉

At that time of the day, I'm always wide awake and either heading to the gig in my big ol' Texas Edition Silverado pick-up truck, or out somewhere on my property tending to the daily duties.

Like collecting eggs, throwing feed to the chickens, filling the pigs' trough, checking the gas in the vintage neon Miller Lite sign, polishing the Miller Lite sponsored cowbell and milking my precious Constance, of course.

The daily duties, for those of you who have volunteered for camper move-in over the weekend, are posted outside my office and also in your PowerWorld email.

rosecity, I won't go so far as to say you have grown on me. However, I will grudgingly admit that I do kind of somewhat appreciate your presence because you may or may not have somewhat energized the game and the post counts although I could definitely do without all the wrestling and Connie stuff. Not to start anything but I will say something that I mentioned a couple or 6 times when you joined us and that is I still believe (no matter how much you deny it) that you are a former regular under a couple or 100 or so aliases and one of those aliases may have grown on me. Good enough?? ;)
