Fantastic word game

The point of a boot is to make a point with a bit of forcefulness.

Ed, nice job with the haiku. I feel that Anyacat (Elizabeth) is smiling from heaven for that contribution. She was part of the regular contributing crew here on TFWG for a number of years and had a great sense of humor. She was our Director of Energy, Tourism and Travel Tips. She is the author of the Word Association game here on RD. That started way back in 2008 which means it has been running for 16 years although there have been many breaks in that run so it hasn't been quite the continuous run like TFWG but still impressive. Sadly, Elizabeth died in 2010. I don't recall if we know/knew of a cause. dmargalotti and kenny (yes, there really is a kenny) and I were Facebook friends with her which I think is how we found out about her death. Someone posted on her account at the time that she had died. In fact, I doublechecked it before posting to make sure I had the year correct. I miss her sense of humor to this day. I'm sure dmargalotti will agree with me. If Miss Silkie returns from her current absence, she'd agree as well I think.

Forcefulness will get you jack-slapped by the Petite Blonde Intern.

Or so I hear.

By the way, Ed...Constance the Cow, Henrietta the Hen, the Rose City Express, Rosie's Dance Hall and Back Door Saloon, Rose's Motor Lodge and Conference Center, Connie's barn, the cattle tank, all 35 acres of the RCM Ranch, the dirt road leading up to the gate, The Sinister Semicolon, The Crafty Comma, The Evil Ellipsis, and the Magical Fingered Milk Maiden (MF2M, as all rednecks prefer) are all unintellectual property of yours truly. Feel free to stop by and play with the critters anytime.

The Petite Blonde Intern (Magical Fingered Milk Maiden, as this redneck prefers) has, apparently, brought the game to a grinding halt as an end clue, so let's take another turn, Connie, and let Ed know that we forgot to mention the RCM Ranch's Putt Putt n' Driving Range.

Stop on by and enjoy the front nine, on the house, Mr. Neilson. Connie is so disappointed in me for the gaffe that she shot 2% out this morning. 🤦

The RCM Ranch's Putt Putt n' Driving Range is a place where you probably won't find me, mainly because golf is something about which I know very little.

I know very little about you, Ed, but if golf ain't your bag, feel free to stop on by the dance hall and back door saloon, get your drink on and do a little two-stepping.

A little two-stepping between Ed and me appears to be the only thing keeping Fantastic Word Game moving along on this hump day.

Must be some kinda holiday going on up yonder, or the barnyard fables have done gone and run everybody off. 🤷

This hump day, it looks like everybody is taking a day off from posting in The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG, as many prefer.)

Kind of unusual for this thread, isn't it? Maybe they all got assimilated by the Borg.
(That's a Star Trek reference, for the uninitiated.)

My golf experience consists of playing on a Wii console and a TV. If golf were a high-scoring game, I would be the world champion!!
:ROFLMAO:

The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG, as many prefer) is my favorite thing to check every night after work.

Sometimes, it takes a little longer for me to get here because there's always a lot going on in the retail world but I'm always here eventually.

rosecity and Ed, thanks for holding down the fort today. Looks like a lot of us had things to do and places to be today.

Every night after work, I eat dinner, relax with some music or video entertainment, and then hit the sack.

Mornings are for checking the FWG if there's time.

Hit the sack when you're ready to call it a day, but be sure to remember to set your clocks back one hour this weekend.

Anyacat was a creative and colorful contributor in those early days of TFWG. May she rest in peace.

Set your clocks back one hour this weekend unless you're in Arizona, or keep track of time with a sun dial.

As winter quickly approaches, it reminds me that y'all will be stuck in snow and freezing cold, but I'll be somewhere outside in the warm Texas sunshine, with the sun dial telling me it's getting close to lunchtime.

Glad to see you've come up for some air, Linguistics Czar. Been a few days since we've seen you around these parts. Kinda figured Kayla had you plumb tuckered out. You'll hafta take up the sun dial issue with the makers of this confounded technology they call the Android. It's separating the word, not your resident redneck. I'll sure pass them demerits on. 💩 rolls downhill, after all.

Close to lunchtime usually means that people are getting hungry.

Something about the grammar doesn't seem right... but it's all I can think of right now.

People are getting hungry for the truth, but as Jack Nicholson once screamed, you can't handle the truth.

You can't handle the truth, so you come up with an incomprehensible word salad.
