Fantastic word game

Weather that feels more like autumn than summer is not something we get very often here in sunny Florida where we usually get weather that feels like summer any time of year.

Weather that feels like summer any time of year sounds good, but I do enjoy the change of seasons that we get in the northeast, even if we happen to experience several of those seasons all in the same day.

Plans, including the best-laid ones of mice and men, often go awry.

According to those who keep such statistics, this is the first time that the word "awry" has been used in a TFWG contribution and the first time it has been used as an ending clue.

Entropy is not a word with which I am familiar, nor am I aware of what it means, so I should really leave this contribution for someone else but I haven't contributed yet today so deal with it.

Deal with it, because it's not going to go away anytime soon.

It's not going to go away anytime soon unless you use that cream prescribed by the PowerWorld Healthcare Team (PWHT as some prefer).

That cream prescribed by the PowerWorld Healthcare Team (PWHT as some prefer), if not used as directed, could cause some very serious side effects.

Peabody awards are given to the most powerful, invigorating, and enlightening stories in television, radio, and online media.

I'll eat my own 10-gallon hat dry if'n anything PowerWorld related is ever nominated, by gum.

#50,993, submitted by dmargalotti (The Padre, as I prefer) has a glarin' error. Glarin', I'll tell you what. Get another one o' them there parcels ready fer shipment, Vermont.

Amusing conspiracy theories here at The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as we all prefer) include rumors that the former Game Czar (GC as most of us prefer) is plotting to take back his position and his plush Game Czar office, but most sources dismiss those rumors as a hoax perpetrated by some malcontent interns.

I really need to lay of the plokable smants.

A hoax perpetrated by some malcontent interns can easily snowball into something nasty.

Now let me shut those rumors down right now. I have no current plans to take back my former position or my former office. When I stepped down, I submitted my written resignation to the Board of Governors. So there is no way I could take back my former position unless I did some kind of hostile takeover which I am not doing. Now, on the other side of the coin, if you guys wanted to vote me back in or something, that's something else entirely. You'd have to discuss that with the Board of Governors.

Meanwhile, the weekend is here and it's time to head on down to the new Illusions for a Memorial Day/Veteran/Americana/Freedom-themed 80s Rockfest tomorrow night. See ya there and have a great weekend!!

Something nasty would most assuredly occur if'n the former Game Czar title were to ever be revived by a vote, beauty pageant contest, strong-arm politicking, military coup or in, for that matter, any kind o' attempt in returning to that capacity.

That oughta put a rest to yer conspiracy theories on that particular subject, Mister Ed, I'll tell you what.

I still prefer the correct abbreviation o' the game, too, which is FWG, by the way.
