Fantastic word game

Away went Mister Ed, n' he's been gone fer awhile now, but did anyone bother to check his pound o' ground round-less freezer n' make sure he ain't done gone n' accidentally locked himself inside?

Inside my freezer you find my pound o' ground round, just waiting to be turned into nice, juicy hamburgers.

Nice, juicy hamburgers on his grill, n' a fifth o' Kentucky Red Eye at his side, tells me ol' Ed's been havin' a lil' fun o' his own without us.

I tip the 10-gallon fer the visit, Mr. Ed. Don't be such a stranger.

Vegan is something Mr. Ed will never be, as he will be a meat-eater until the cows come home.

Until the cows come home, vegan delights are available at Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits but I stay away from them.

Ed, nice to see you.

Everyone, it would have been nice for all of you to acknowledge Miss Silkie's reappearance, however brief it may be. Not very nice.

gimmetheoldies, our former Game Czar (I can't remember his name) used to welcome newbies. Since we don't have a Game Czar anymore, and no one else is welcoming you, I shall provide my world-famous welcome speech.

Welcome to the Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as I prefer). When contributing, as you have already done, please use the entire bolded ending clue from the previous contribution. Please bold your new ending clue. If you are unable to bold, we will accept CAPITAL LETTERS. In honor of our late great friend, Anyacat, we also accept contributions in haiku form. Please feel free to peruse our previous 2,558 pages (dating back to 2006) to see where we started, where we went, where we are now, and where we hope to go.

Please meet our Executive Board:
dmargalotti--International Director of Band Camp (IDBC); Director of Early Morning Contributions
Silkie (Miss Silkie)--Chief Mixologist; Head Librarian; Director of Fun; Owner/Manager of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits
scanman--HOSS (Head Of Safety and Security
CTListener--Director of Linguistics (DoL)

and the rest:
WMC (me)--former Game Czar; longest tenured contributor (since Day 1) at TFWG
Ed Nielson

Should you have any questions, gimmetheoldies, please feel free to ask.

The Fantastic Word Game is managed by the Executive Board who are, in turn, managed by a Board of Governors. TFWG is owned and operated by Radio Discussions.com and previously Radio-Info.com. RadioDiscussions.com owns all TFWG-related intellectual property including: the Fantastic Word Game; The Fantastic Word Game; TFWG; tFWG; the FWG; the mechanical bull; band camp; TPS Reports; lovely young library interns; the new Illusions; the 80s Rockfest; Tasty Tidbits; and, a few other things I can't think of right now. Again, welcome aboard and we hope you have a great time.

Finally, it's the weekend. We'll see you tomorrow night at the new Illusions for another fantastic 80s Rockfest and early Sunday morning at Denny's. Have a great weekend!!

I stay away from them there salad buffets, 'cuz much like my feller Southern-dweller Mister Ed, I'm a carnivore.

A tip o' the 10-gallon in the die-rection o' H-town, home o' the Astrodome, NASA, pro-rasslin' icon Booker T, n' our new friend "gimmetheoldies". A feller Texican! My name is Rose, the resident, ramblin' (n' sometimes ragin') redneck o' the group, claimin' the Dirty South's backwoods o' East Texas, n' responsibility fer this game not havin' a Game Czar no more. (Somethin' 'bout a herd o' farm animals had him n' the executive team runnin' fer the hills.)

Couple o' fine folks that ol' WMC (Mayflower Man, as I prefer) didn't mention as characters in the game include Kayla, the Petite Blonde Intern, Lola, the former security heifer, and the mysterious pound o' ground round that hangs out in Mr. Ed's freezer. There's also a slew o' hangouts n' critters associated with The RCM Ranch (my real life 35-acre piece o' cow pasture in the Piney Woods), but we won't get into all o' that nonsense. Ain't gonna overwhelm you on day 1, partner. Anyway, I reckon you'll get the hang o' it. You'll see us bring up all sortsa ridiculous subjects, storylines, n' silliness. Welcome aboard, n' thanks for jumpin' on in the deep end. Demerits are done in fun, so don't take them suckers to heart. We're mighty proud to know you.

A carnivore is someone who believes that PETA stands for People Eating Tasty Animals.

Attachment o' yer horse to a post, in these here parts, is called hitchin'.

Just make sure you employ a crosstie when you go to tyin' her down.

"Hitchin' A Ride" was a popular song from the year 1970 by the group Vanity Fare, who also gave us "Early In The Morning."

A rooster struttin' 'round the yard with his tail feathers fanned out, n' his chest all puffed up, should be a fair enuff warnin' towards any ol' city slicker to watch fer the spur.

Participation in an ass kickin' contest requires two legs.

As a disclaimer, we do not condone or encourage donkey kickin' or physical abuse o' any kind at The RCM Ranch.

I reckon the hill runners would likely prefer an occasional critter mention over a regular trip to the squared circle.

Round these here parts, we call them kinds o' appliances an ice box.

Keep it comin', compadre. Looks like the rest o' 'em er busy gettin' gussied up fer their weekly eardrum bustin' Rockfest tonight.

An ice box is needed to keep the drinks and foodstuffs cold for the upcoming 80s Rockfest Independence Day Cookout and Celebration (80RIDCC as many don't prefer).

These festivities will be held on the grounds of the new Illusions, of course, lasting all weekend, July 4-6. The mechanical bull will be decked out in red, white and blue.
