Somewhere along the line there was a derailment in rosecity's understanding of a haiku which is, according to The Google, a 3-line poem consisting of a strict 5-7-5 syllable structure.
As bad as it was constructed, I still recognized it as an attempt at a haiku and I feel that our late friend, Anyacat, to whom we dedicate any and all potential haiku-form contributions, might even approve of the attempt. CT didn't even recognize the haiku attempt. 3 demerits to him and zero cranial explosions from this end.

A 3-line poem consisting of a strict 5-7-5 syllable structure is, indeed, a haiku, but whatever that clumsy piece of doggerel the hayseed submitted was, it sure as heckfire wasn't a haiku, which means that, unless the late Anyacat were to manifest herself here and pronounce it such, the penalty assessed by yours truly stands.
And if WMC -- who is acting awfully czarlike again -- insists of overriding my decision, I may just explode a body part to be determined in his direction!

Sturdy girls are, normally, a great help 'round the ranch, n' I was always a big pro-ponent o' havin' several o' them on standby, but once this ol' hayseed got a good look at what all the Petite Blonde Intern accomplished down here, during her last visit, I've become a big fan o' those that are of the short-statured variety.

The PowerWorld creator just took sides with the ol' hayseed, n' against his own, appointed Die-rector o' Linguistics (Linguistics Czar, as what's livin' under the hat pre-fers). I reckon I need to lie on down. My cranium ain't gonna ex-plode over it, but it sure 'nuff made me a lil' light-headed.

Lanky counterparts, which are readily available at yer local Napa, O'Reilly, ABC, or AutoZone retail centers, are better-known to me n' my feller Texicans as shock absorbers, dipsticks, tire pressure gauges and windshield wipers, but after readin' the good Padre's take on his preference of feisty, petite women, I think I'd better go on n' pay one o' them places a visit fer a long, hard gander at a suddenly overheating radiator.

Creating 19 years of a word and sentence-writing interweb thread has taken many different authors to bring us up to this point in time, and many of those contributions involved spinning 80's rock tunes across the dance floor o' an imaginary night club, but here in Texas, during this par-ticular time o' year, this is how a Saturday night is spent amongst the cowboys, hayseeds, and rednecks of the South.

Well, I tried to share some video of the rodeo and fat stock show, currently ongoing at the East Texas State Fair. Apparently, radio discussions doesn't take kindly to cowboy videos and won't accept it. Too bad, really. Would've been a nice, visual glimpse into the reality living under the Stetson 10-gallon hat. At least I can share with you an aerial view of the fair, taken from the RCM Ranch whirlybird.
Just pulling yer legs, folks. We ain't got no helicopter. The pictures are taken from the top o' the midway's Ferris wheel.
