These idiots consider any fine or whatever just to be "the cost of doing business". They can make up that $10,000 debt by selling spots on their stations.

...and even if they don't, lets see the feds collect the money. Imposing a fine is an enforcement action without any real penalty.

In all seriousness, outside of us "radio geeks" (I say that lovingly!), do you really think 99% of the rest of the listening population know the difference between a pirate and a legit radio station? All they know is that they can hear it on their radio. Chances are she was probably reading from some script, written by someone else who doesn't know that Touch is an illegal operation.
