Finally....A Dance Station has Arrived In Las Vegas!

And Its coming from 94.5 FM KMOA/Moapa. They signed on the air at 6AM (PDT) today (May 2nd) playing the biggest dance records of the last ten years. They're billing themselves as "Rehab Radio."

Yes, but can anyone actually hear it? The signal is terrible, any plans to upgrade?

It is restricted by other stations and does not seem to be upgradable.

A dance station? Ooooooo.

I'm not from Nevada. Does this station have a website? If so, then, can someone please give me the link? And, do they stream? I come from an area where we don't have a dance station, and I'd love to hear this one.

They have an application with the FCC for a booster to go into the sunrise manor area. The booster is just over 200 watts. It might even be on Sunrise mountain and that will give them much better coverage in the metro area, except where the original signal and the booster overlap, where it will sound really bad.

Wow. I have to say this market never ceases to amaze me. If Area 108 taught us anything, it's that crap signals + niche formats do NOTHING in terms of ratings...

So what happens? A station on a crap signal launches with a niche format.

Las Vegas needs a Top 40. It does NOT, however, need another awful signal. This is Market 33, folks. Not Market 182.

I'm not even getting a trace of the signal this afternoon. Is this station really on? Are they doing a P.T.A.?

Only1moore, thank you for the link. I appreciate it.

If any of you would like to know about a Toronto rehab clinic (I would imagine), then yes, visit http://www.rehabradio.com.

As for hearing it on the strip...not right now. With the repeater, likely...but not right now, and likely not then either.

Personally, I doubt that they will use the "Rehab Radio" moniker. Anything could happen at this point.

well from what I am hearing on STATIC 94.5...KLUC has nothing to worry about and in fact they are probably laughing their ass off at this lame ass excuse of a dance station. From the looks of their coverage map it looks like they only cover CACTUS...the people running this thing need to go back to DREAMLAND.......

Onlyonemoore,

Is there a stream that is accessable for Windows Media player for this station? If so, then, if you don't want to post another link on these boards, then, could you please email me that link. My address appears below, and you can also get my email address by looking at my profile. Thanks for your help, and your watchful eye on this station.

I can't seem to find the signal area on radio-locator right now, but the last time i checked it, the signal pretty much resembled a phallus. lol

Steaming information says "KVBE, The Vibe". I agree with most of you, this will never make a dent in Las Vegas.... and if the owners are trying to sell it as being a "Las Vegas" station, they're lying. KLUC and Hot 97.5 have NOTHING to be worried about.
