Finally....A Dance Station has Arrived In Las Vegas!

From the map, it looks like they should claim St. George, Mesquite, Moapa Valley, and a whole lotta empty desert before claiming to be a Vegas radio station.

Sure the bigtime rhythmic stations may have nothing to worry about, but there's nothing wrong with a little musical diversity on the airwaves.

theres nothing wrong with musical diversity, but they'll realize soon enough that musical diversity does not pay the bills.

My prediction is they will air this dance loop until they get their booster. Then they will switch to the real format...the only major format missing in Las Vegas...CHR/Pop.

Quote from Saladressing:
That wouldn't explain the Vibe name and call letters tho.

Okay. I know this gets anoying, but, please, fill in the outsider here. The last time I checked, the station was KMOA, and it's moniker was "Rehab Radio." Did the name change to "Vibe?" And, what are the new call letters if they have changed too? And, do they have a new website? I see that the domain
www.rehabradio.com
is still under construction. Hmmm. So, is it "The Vibe" now?

Hey Radio Kid...

How are you? I know people, and I also know that RehabRadio.com is owned by a Toronto company...nothing to do with Vegas whatsoever. (Check out the WHO-IS information for the domain)

The ACTUAL domain for the station is www.VibeVegas.com, and the streaming link floating around here shows "KVBE" as it's call letters.

Just a heads up.

Hey iknowpeople,

I'm fine. Thanks for asking. Thanks also for the heads up. I didn't know things had changed. I'm gonna go check out the new website now. Thank you.

Later.

Well it looks like they did change their calls to KVBE and dropped "Rehab Radio." And for those who though that this Dance format was a stunt, guess again. Its being co-consulted by Dance radio vets Trevor Simpson from KNGY/San Francisco, Joel Salkowitz from WNYZ/New York City and Mark "Tik Tak" Allen.

That's all and good, but I am 150 feet above ground level at about W Tropicana and Cameron, and can't get it on either of my very sensitive travel radios.

KMOA changed call signs to KVBE with the FCC's blessing on 6 May.
