Don't forget that you can still hear real jazz (as opposed to the jazzy elevator music that was featured on WJJZ) on WRTI (90.1 in Philly, with relay and translator stations covering a huge footprint in eastern and central Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, most of Delaware, and part of Maryland) from 6 PM to 6 AM weekdays, 6 PM to 8 PM Saturday (possibly delayed during Metropolitan Opera season), and all day Sunday except from 3 to 6 PM. If you prefer the urban AC-flavored vocals that were also heard on WJJZ, you can find them on WDAS-FM (105.3) or WRNB (107.9). WJJZ (or whatever the new call letters will be) still plays jazz (although not "smooth jazz") on its HD-2 channel, also available on the Internet.
Now...if only WHYY-FM would revert to an all-classical format (or if Greater Media could be convinced to revive WFLN on one of its Philly frequencies) so that WRTI could go back to playing jazz full-time...
