FM Frequency of the Week: 100.3

Wilmington Delaware

Strong HD signal from local WRNB Philadelphia PA with an Urban Contemporary format. I've picked up WBIG in Washington DC a few times during unusual reception conditions. Philly and DC share several frequencies like 90.1 and 90.9 where DC stations sometimes win out over Philly stations here early in the morning.

Denver, CO - Local KIMN, hot AC, "Mix 100". Broadcasts in HD but there are no HD-2 or HD-3, etc. channels.

East Tennessee: Powerhouse Class C WCYQ, Oak Ridge (historically WNOX and WOKI, which was FM top 40 in the 70s and 80s). In the few times I've caught it off the air, I've had WVVR, "The Beaver", Hopkinsville KY.

Retro/other: Dayton/Western Ohio would be the former WCNB or WIFE, Connersville, IN, or WCLT-FM, Newark, Ohio (T100). Several years ago, in a move I still don't understand, the Connersville allocation was moved to Norwood (Cincinnati), Ohio, and is currently WOSL. The day after WIFE went off the air I heard the Knoxville station in the car in Springfield, Ohio. Currently a translator for WBZI in Xenia is on 100.3 in the Dayton area.
Where I grew up in West Central Ohio, WNIC Dearborn MI would make it in.

All powerhouse WCLT at my location in Pickerington, Ohio. WCLT is about 25 miles to my east-northeast and one of the strongest signals on the dial.

Nutley, NJ Local WHTZ Z100 New York
Rare strong tropo: I can null in WRNB Philadelphia. Fun Fact also called themselves Z100 back in 1993 when it was WKSZ before WHTZ put out a law suit to change

Clifton, New Jersey

I get WHTZ "Z100" New York, NY, which has been a Top 40/CHR station since 1983. It also broadcasts in HD with no additional subchannels. Past HD2 stations include Z100 New Music, Nick Radio, and a Z100 simulcast.

Central Kansas:
A toss up between KDVV/Topeka or KNZS/Arlington. Both can either be moderate or weak, depending on the day.

North Iowa:
A weak, sometimes OK, signal from KDRB/Des Moines. KFXN/Minneapolis occasionally makes it in.
