FM Frequency of the Week - 179.75 MHz...

Thought I'd throw this one in here since there is a similar thread for TV Channels 2 - 6. What can you get on 179.75 MHz? We can open this up to all of the other VHF HI-Band TV Channels too, 185.75 MHz, 191.75 MHz, 197.75 MHz, 203.75 MHz, 209.75 MHz, and 215.75 MHz. Has anyone gotten any TV stations in this band via E-skip?

Before the digital transition,
179.75 MHz (TV CH 7 audio) was WXYZ/Detroit, MI with varying reception. Also had WKBW/Buffalo, NY, WHIO/Dayton, OH (once years ago) and WTRF/Wheeling, WV with tropo.
Now, if anything, it's the digital side of WJBK/Detroit CH 2 here in Vermilion, OH

Analog (before 2009) Bothell, WA

CH 07-KIRO Seattle (CBS)
CH 08-one time a VERY weak CHAN Vancouver, BC (Global)
CH 09-KCTS Seattle (PBS)
CH 10-
CH 11-KSTW Tacoma (The CW)
CH 12-KVOS Bellingham (IND, very weak)
CH 13-KCPQ Tacoma (Fox. Transmitter in Bremerton, so lots of multipath. Would occasionally go to B&W at times)

9 - CBET/Windsor, ON (weak to strong depending on conditions)
CFTO/Toronto, ON (tropo)
WWTV/Cadillac, MI (tropo)
WTOV/Steubenville, OH (tropo)

10 - CFPL/London, ON (weak to strong depending on conditions)

Channel 7 has always been my local WWNY, who remains on RF channel 7 even after the DTV switch. They just recently got approved to increase power from 25kw to 42kw ERP. If you look at the FCC's website all the RF channel 7 stations in New York made a joint application to raise power with some requesting ERP levels above the maximum for Zone 1. For example WABC was granted 34kw at 405m even though the limit is 30kw at 305m. However the FCC approved it, must be they want to keep stations on VHF.

Interesting....I believe that the FCC granted a similar "waiver" to WPVI DT 6 Philly. There's no other channel of which to move; so I suppose, because of their limited coverage, the waiver was put into place.

Am I correct? (sorry for going OT here)

Very often I used to get what I believed was KOAC in Corvallis. I suppose it may have just been an image of KOPB's audio channel showing up at that spot on the dial (KOPB always did seem to like to overload certain types of receivers, anyways) but either way, channel 7 was* most definitely the main OPB outlet around those parts.
