Continuing with our look at the Class B/C frequencies:
What do or did you receive on 95.5?
East Tennessee: (Knoxville/Sevierville): 95.5 is one of the clearer frequencies. I’ll often get one of these 3 stations: WSM-FM, Nashville; WQHY, Prestonsburg, KY; or WSBB, Doraville, GA (the WSB simulcast. That will likely be less common after the tower move).
DX from East TN: Same date in 2012 by ESkip, KNDY, and KAAM, Bethany, MO. One of the rare tropo events in East TN brought WAEV, Savannah, GA.
Retro/other: Dayton, OH, usually WHOK (now WXMG) sneaking between WZLR and WCLR (now WHIO-FM). Lafayette, In in the 90s, WFMS, Indianapolis and sometimes what was WNUA, Chicago.
DX clip of the week: A 2 minute aircheck of Jim Channell (Captain Whammo) on WDHF, Chicago. http://46124.info/FM/Illinois/IL Chicago 95.5 1974 WDHF.mp3
