We're covering the traditional Class B/C frequencies in the commercial band. Let's check out 96.9. What do you or did you get there?
East Tennessee: Only WXBQ, Bristol, VA.
Retro/other:
Dayton, Ohio area: Usually WYDA (Air 1..formerly K-Love), Troy, Ohio. (this was also Classic Soul WRNB, which my voice was heard on).
Lexington, KY is still a frequent vistor (currently WGKS) especially in the southern part of the market. K-Love had 3 translators throughout Springfield, OH at one time. Often, when band conditions were just right, they'd find themselves relaying Lexington instead of Troy's 96.9.
Lafayette, IN in the late 80s/early 90s: Sometimes WLBH, Matoon, IL would make it there when it was an actual radio station.
DX recording of the week: WLBH, Matoon, IL in 1968 as received in Muncie, IN http://46124.info/FM/Illinois/IL Mattoon 96.9 1968 WLBH.mp3
