FM Frequency of the Week: 89.5

Hartland, VT:
WVPR Windsor, on the Vermont Public (Media) News network. The Classical station for this area is WNCH 88.1 Norwich.

Meriden, CT:
WPKN Bridgeport, a community station with an eclectic block-programmed format. The station was formerly owned by the University of Bridgeport, but declared independence shortly after the financially strapped school was purchased by an arm of Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church.

Note: This is the only preset frequency on my car radio that I didn't have to change when I moved here in January!

From Cheyenne Wyoming:
I usually get nothing on 89.5 except for splatter from my locals on 89.3 and 89.7. Lately, however, the splatter has been reduced greatly by 89.3 being mute at the moment due to a malfunction on their end.

Due to the aforementioned splatter, 89.5 is hard to Dx at home, but my truck radio handles things really well, so it's a favorite target for me, because it's the first frequency in my area to have nothing on it. As a result, I've grabbbed E-skip from several places, including Mexico in May 2021, as well as Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Mississippi (tentative).

I can't think of any troposhperic Dx at the moment.

In Scottsbluff, NE, 89.5 is a BBN translator, however they have plans to move to 90.1 FM. They currently have an okay signal in STF, but the higher power of the new frequency will help with that.

Rapid City, SD, is IBOC splatter from KBHE.

East Tennessee: (Knoxville/Sevierville): Weak but sometimes listenable WETS, NPR Johnson City, TN,' This station has been received on the Edinburgh, IN Global Tuners.

Retro/other: Dayton, Ohio: A rare share-time arrangement with Dayton Public Schools' WDPS, running jazz with high school students 9am-04:30pm. weekdays, and WQRP, now Spanish Christian, the rest of the time.

Central Kansas:
Strong signal from KHCD/Salina

Northern Iowa:
A mix of either a fair to weak KHKE/Cedar Falls or a mostly weak KLFG/Ft. Dodge

South Mississippi:
