I didn't keep track of exactly how long the stretch was that the two fought back and forth, but I think south of Remington and Wolcott WFBQ was solid when I was checked back.

Woah if you lived in Los Angeles in the 1950's it was the home of KRHM-FM the station prior to KMET and KTWV ever existed.
Indeed there was a freq swap, KRHM I believe moved to 102.7 and I think 102.7 was KLAC-FM.
