Happy Friday to you all, and that means it's time for FOTW again! This week is a non-commercial week as I did a Com frequency last time.
So next week will be Christmas Eve, so I will not be posting then, and the week after will be New Years Eve, and I will hence post a day early.
Here's what I have in mind:
*Week of Friday, December 3rd: 88.3, Non Comm week. (Completed)
*Week of Friday, December 10th: 99.1 Is a Commercial week. (Completed)
*Week of Friday, December 17th: 88.5 Non Comm week. (Today!)
*Idea for tomorrow, December 18th: What station do you turn to for holiday music?
*Week of Friday, December 24th: No FOTW. Have a Merry Christmas!
*Week of Thursday, December 30th: 99.3 Is a Commercial week. Happy New Year!
*Week of Friday, January 7th: 88.7 Non Comm Week.
Definitely let me know what you think of this schedule!
So from Cheyenne, WY:
Semi-Local is KUWY Laramie is a 135 watter from up on pilot hill, but it's signal can actually be decent at times. They run classical music, with news at the top of the hour, and powers KUWR HD2, which is a lot easier to receive.
Tropo: During the massive June 10th duct (which netted signals 200-300 miles away), 88.5 was taken over by a few other stations, including what I suspect to be KGNU Boulder.
E-Skip: On the second opening of the year (May 21st), I grabbled KQED San Francisco with RDS and a clear voice.
