Don't forget to check the zipper as well

Anyway, I'm not clear on the sources for those who are quoting billables here ($1M/yr et al) but while the station was getting advertising dollars, evidently those listening to the station are very sedentary (according to those in the know that I've spoken with). Listeners were/are hooked into their long standing buying habits and were not changing them when they heard an advertiser on WECK. So advertisers who were not getting many ringing phones or walk-ins from their "Music of Your Life" ads said "see ya wouldn't want to be ya" to the 1230 ad sales staff.

Now, with Classic Country, I was not impressed with the sound. If one was going to try and pipe in a format I would think a CBS News/Talk or national sports format would be just fine and sell better (if you hack away a little at BEN and GR, that's found money with no local salaries). I've a hard time believing that an FM/AM country combo ad sale is burying the CBS/Buffalo accountant in greenbacks....BUT I could be wrong.
