hahaha...that's funny. Pugs & Cougar going against Russ. I didn't think the bone could get much worse, but they just did. P&K might help the station go up .2, but that's it. They just booked 2 seats on the titanic...that ship is sinking.

Even when he does things like MMA and wrestling, both of which I don't like, he can make them think pieces. Now I hate Bunny Love, cause shes annoying, I will give you that, but even things that may not be on the surface challenging, he makes it intriguing. And its not like its NPR, so its not all educational, you have to reach out to idiots sometimes.

Including you, me and the others.

You're mistaking BDH's faux intellectualism for actual profundity. I say faux intellectualism because I myself am a faux intellectual and I can recognize a fellow fraud.
 
Is Russ nervous about P&K's debut today? I was never that big of a fan of P&K but I think they will bring a breath of fresh air to afternoons.
 
Brent, is it possible, you are the one that does not get it? BDH has skills, solid delivery and provides thoughtful content...That is why I listen. P&K have a style and following as well. Russ, on the other hand, is a 1 trick pony with 5 topics of discussion.

I don't know, P&K (I like Cougar better) have been behind the scenes and can shed some light on Russ's fake bits, Gavin's complicity and the other secrets at live 105...I am all ears!
 
I, too, am interested in hearing the behind-the-scenes, E! True Hollywood Story version of Live 105.3, with all of the possible dirt and reality of these so-called "Radio Celebrities" 105 pushes upon us and tells us that are "HOT." That, for a while, will make Pugs and Cougar interesting listening.....but after the novelty of that wears off - or perhaps, if they are not even allowed to say anything (legally), what will they have then?

Will it be the same incessant dribble that was causing their ratings to tank before? Hopefully, the addition to music in the format will help move along topics rather than allowing them to run across multiple segments.

As of right now, almost anything else is better than what Live 105.3 is offering morning, midday, afternoons, etc. ::)
 
A bit off topic but am I the only one that doesn't see the "hotness factor" of Jasmine (Jagger Show)? They are constantly saying how smoking hot she is. Oh well, they also say Mondo has slept with 300 + women and that Dean is funny. :-\
 
She does a spot for "Cookies" that says she lost 20 pounds... Hot she is NOT
 
I think its funny how everyone thinks p and k are all innocent and have no behind the scene divaishness. fact is they are just as much a holes as russ behind the scenes. All on air talent is they have to feel special and treating those who assist them like trash is the way it is and always has been. So stop acting as if they are saints cause they arent. On a positive I am curious about the new show. I also agree with the jeffdfw statement.

Mr Chris. I dont think everyone is acting like P&K are saints. Alot of P&K supporters were just put off by the way it was handled. And the constant jabs from other shows while they were on "vacation" didn't help. I really just can't wait to hear the show and see what will be brought up (if anything).

mrchris, I agree that they, too, must be guilty of being divas....if they weren't then they would have put forth the effort to make their show stay up in the ratings. I think they were (and still are) relying on their ever-following fans to follow them and keep them afloat. That won't help in the fight against the RMS.

However, from what I can deduce - they are not as horrible as Jagger and RMS. Their Diva-ness shows into their show format, and that puts off a lot of listeners.

jeffdfw, I couldn't agree with you more, brother, about Jasmine. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

I am neither a fan nor hater of PNK. Just a listener and not a follower. Give them a chance, I will.

What do you mean the way it was handeled? They QUIT! Plane and simple. Once off the station they are open targets for anything from the current stations crew. Honestly all air talent hate eachother and will cut throats at any chance. I will agree of all the shows on that station they were prob the best. Russ is just pffft russ and jagger well we all know that story why beat it to death.

Of course they are relying on their old fans. The Bone is probably relying on them to help bring up the station's ratings by bringing some of their old fans with them. They have been on less than an hour and have already played the same music beds, they are doing the same segments, the same bits, the same style, etc... Hell, Pugs has already said Live 105.3 three times since they cam on at 2pm. They aren't going to divulge any detailed information about why they left because legally they can't. They aren't going to divulge any detailed info about Russ' legal situation because they don't really know any other than what's in the media. And they aren't going to start trash talking Russ other than lame comments here and there because the last thing they want is Russ and his fan base coming after them. They are going to hope that their fans who love the pop-culture talk, gossip, and drama follow them. And look where that got them in ratings in the last year or so.
 
Absolutely unlistenable. What is the purpose of the music/drums behind them for the entire segment? That's as bad as David Lee Roth. Took Pugs all of 5 min to give out the wrong call letters. Pugs talks a lot of garbage about the old station leading up to this and when a caller asks him about it he has nothing to say? Same old crap from him. Can't wait until Kelly needs something for her house so she can talk and talk and talk about it until a sponsor gives it to her free. If I was a regular listener of 93.3 I would be pissed to tune in and hear these clowns. If you are a loyal Bone listener take solace in the fact that at least they are having to play a couple of songs every half hr. That is a few minutes you don't have to listen to them.
